The shuttle service to Pompeii was well worth the money, although it rained part of the day. The tour guide was very good. He gave us a lot of information both going and returning from Pompeii. The 15 minute stop going was fine, but the 30 minute stop returning was too long. We didn't need to shop any more.

Well worth the 3 hour journey in each direction. The coach was clean and comfortable and Pompeii has to be seen to be believed. Tour guide was friendly and gave just the right amount of information, whilst being sensitive to the fact that folk would be up early and return late so needed time to rest and sleep without too much chat. Comfort stop much appreciated, a clean and welcoming place to stretch the legs, etc. I'd make just one recommendation for the future comfort of others on the coach and that is that customers be asked NOT to recline their seats. The traveler in front of me kept their seat reclined for the whole journey, which made my legs very uncomfortable. Guide also gave useful info about EU nationals under 18 are not charged to get in to Pompeii, so take your passport to prove this. Tour guide also informed about asking for map and little tour booklet, as these are given out at the kiosk next to the ticket office and not the ticket office itself, the guide and map are not offered unless you ask.

This was a very easy way to arrange a trip to Pompeii from the comfort of my own home. When we got to Rome, it was simple to find the tour operator's office, and the staff were very helpful. The trip from start to finish was well organised by our guide. Pompeii was beyond our expectations - you really do have to visit to experience the size of the place and what it would have been like in Roman times. Even in 4 hours we were only able to see a small part, and we will return another day soon I hope.

We had a great driver and a smart and educated guide who was an archeology student and had more insight than the average guide. There was plenty of time to explore the site.
