Wonderful tour and equally wonderful guide Barbara! She is actually an Archeologist and what an amazing gift to the group. She was so knowledgeable, so approachable, and so kind to always move our group into the shade whenever possible.
Great tour and great guide. She managed to keep out attention and stay with her during the hole tour even though it was 40 degrees celcius as a teache I can say that that is not an esay task
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. He did a very good job of keeping us together and protecting from the potential pick pockets. Highly recommended.
The guide we had was extremely knowledgeable about the architecture of these old structures. It was a complete itinerary for the three areas. Unfortunately on the particular day, the temperatures were almost unbearable for sightseeing. I would recommend your company for this tour and the ability to skip the lines.
fantastic go with the guide they tell you everything about everything you would walk past being by yourself like why a door way is 30foot in the air on a building, how old each part is were king died etc the tour last about 3 to 4 hours but well worth it
Passionate, well informed, highly educated guide helped bring the Colosseum and Forum to life. The Colosseum is jam packed, and yet he kept us together, moving along, and appreciative of what we were seeing.
The tour was well organized and on time. Our guide Serafina, was excellent. She is very knowledgable about all the ruins and was careful to keep us in the shade as much as possible. This was important as it was very hot and humid. I don't know how the guides can do theses tours everyday in that heat. The guided tour was definitely the best way to see the Colosseum, but you may not want to come in July.
Great Tour - Marco was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable and passionate about his Roman architecture and history. Best views and education on the Colosseum and the Forum we have had. Some advice for those planning to attend - the forum is brutally hot / no shade and there is a lot of walking - so hydrate well, wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle to fill from the fountains and if you must go in peak season prepare for crowds!
Alessandro was our tour guide and he was fantastic. I am not a history buff and he brought history to life for me. He was passionate about the tour and ensured we all understood everything. He was also sensitive to people's needs e.g. standing in the shade, water breaks...
Our tour guide Marina was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was very hot when we visited Italy July and Marina was conscientious and gave us time to break and get fresh water. If you are traveling in the summer months, remember to bring along water, an umbrella and perhaps a hand fan of some sort. Wear closed toe shoes as these sites are outdoors and very dusty.
Very enjoyable tour - tough not to enjoy the Colosseum and Roman Forum - so much intrigue and history.
5 stars for the fact that it was freaking ROME and AMAZING and I LOVED IT.
The tour guide was good. Not great, but good. He seemed a wee bit impatient, though very knowledgeable and he answered most of our questions.
It was a hot day, and we did have to wait in line to enter the other areas Palatine Hill due to some kafuffle with there being only one policeman checking bags, but no matter, I just got a gelato while we waited. Our tour guide was not impressed though.
Seriously, it was AHHMAZING. So worth it, if only for the skip the lines!
Our guide was Alessandro and he was A !!! How lucky to have an archeologist for a tour of ancient Rome! Truly a wealth of information and such a warm and friendly person. It was a really hot day, and Alessandro made sure we stayed as shaded and hydrated as possible. We are truly grateful we could see this important part of Rome with an expert. Highly recommend this tour ... totally worth the investment!
The tour was great. Highly recommended and great skipping the queues.
This was a spectacular experience, our guide was very knowledgeable and we really got the entire experience! A must see in Rome!
Very informative, great guide. Skipping the lines saved a lot of time.
Well worth it. We had a great guide, Vincenzo, who balanced his deep understanding of the colosseum and its contexts with an entertaining and personal approach to the experience. We would recommend this highly.
The guide an architectural student was very knowledgeable. He knew all the history behind the Colosseum. The problem we had was it was too hot to enjoy. The walking with all the stairs was very difficult, the guide took many breaks and he tried to find shade but I would not recommend this tour in July.
Definitely schedule a tour and do not try to visit the colosseum on your own! Skip the line entry is a huge bonus! Our guide was great and had lots of information for us!
