Our tour guide made this tour very very interesting, he captured our imagination by taking us back nearly 2000 years. Worth every penny. Don't try this tour on your own you will miss so much.

This was a great tour. We had a wonderful tour guide. Gave us so much interesting history on Roma; it was fascinating. We really enjoyed this tour.

Our guide was outstanding. He clearly was passionate about the things that he was showing us and was able to answer any question that came his way based on his very broad knowledge of history. Even more impressive, however, was the way he handled several very obnoxious people who showed up to the tour with a woman in a wheelchair and expected him to accommodate them, even though the tour is advertised as a walking tour which is not recommended for those with walking disabilities. He did very well in a situation where most other people would have blown up - these people were some of the most ignorant, impossible-to-please tourists that I have ever seen. I will be booking more tours with Viator!

This is about a 3 hour tour, great tour guide tried to 'bring us back to the times' of when the Colosseum was used. Meeting place is on hill above subway stop overlooking Colosseum.

Another fantastic Viator trip! Brilliant from start to finish. Our guide was a real expert on ancient Rome, friendly, very interesting and happy to answer any question. He even had pictures to help us visualise what the ruins would have been like. It was a scorching day very near to 40 degrees but he made sure to find patches of shade and water fountains to refill bottles en route. Like a lot of historical sites without a guide we would have been fascinated, and you can get audio guides to listen to, but you don't have the chance to ask questions like us. We came away exhausted from the heat and long walk but really fascinated and informed. Well worth the extra few euros for the skip the line tickets and the guide made the trip all the more perfect.

This was great! The guide was very helpful. I learnt alot about the sites. I would only suggest to take water and suncream with you, the guide did try to stop in shade where possible.

We were thrilled with this tour. It was indeed a pleasure to skip the queues, our main reason for booking it. However, the real bonus was in the guide's tour. His enthusiasm and command of the subject made the Colosseum really come alive for us. He was very inclusive of our 9 year old, the only child present, and made something that could have been quite dry and academic enormously exciting.

We skipped the line to get inside the Colosseum and our guide seemed to know a lot about Roman history. Everything was good except the weather was tooooo hot in August.

This was a wonderful tour! Not having to wait in line was a bonus and have a guide was great to explain all of the significance of the parts of the Colosseum and the forum.

The tour guide was excellent and gave us an education that we would not have received on our own. I enjoyed no waiting in line access. Colosseum especially has huge lines to get in.

This trip was worth every penny. We were guided for 3 hours. Our guide was very informative and funny and kept my two boys, aged 12 and 14, riveted for the whole 3 hours despite the heat!
