Our tour guide could not have been lovelier. She was very informative and pointed out key sites for our group. Despite the unusual heat wave Rome was having at this time, the tour was very beneficial and our guide's commentary put the architecture in a historical context.

Our guide certainly brought everything to life. She was knowledgable and informative, and I feel we gained much more of an insight into The Colosseum than we would ever have done from a guide book. Congratulations - a job well done.

This was a fantastic tour! We had a small group, which meant a lot of individual interaction and attention. The tour guide did a great job of making life at the Colosseum and on Palatine Hill really come alive for us. You're on your feet the entire time, so wear comfortable shoes!

First of all, I love the headsets that we were given at the beginning of the tour. You could easily hear the tour guide and just in case you got lost, you could easily find them because of the headset. The tour guide himself was courteous and packed with much information. I was very pleased with the program and skipping the lines was a real bonus. I would definitely book another tour with Viator.

We had such a great time on this tour! Our guide made the whole thing so entertaining. Although I'm an art history enthusiast, I can see how the history of all this could get a little boring or could become too much for some people. But, our guide did a great job of making it lively and interactive. We were able to see so much during our tour and appreciate it much more than we would have on our own. He even threw in some additional information that I thought was really fun, like pointing out different plants along our way and explaining their significance within the context of Rome and the ancient history. This was one of the first things we did during our trip and we kept referring back to it the rest of our time there.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and such a delight! Instructions for how to get to the meeting location could have been clearer and caused a bit of stress, but other than that it was a terrific experience. Some of the others in the group experienced difficulty with all of the climbing and walking, so it would be a good idea to make potential participants aware of that aspect of the tour.

This was a great tour with long walks, but very interesting.

We loved this tour, especially our guide. She was so knowledgeable and truly made it a very interesting and fun tour. We took three tours in all from Viator and they were all great. It was definitely what they said it would be, and the headsets made all the difference! I would recommend this company and tour to anyone.

The Colosseum and ancient rome tour was excellent. This and the Vatican Museums were the best part of our trip to Rome. The guide was excellent and audio equipment worked well. It was a rainy day, but we still enjoyed everything about the tour. We had some confusion finding the meeting place and so did another couple. We got their early and eventually found the actual meeting place.

This was our first "Skip the Line" tour, and we thought the only benefit was getting in without standing in a huge line. However, our guide was articulate and knowledgeable, and the "whisper" amplification system was the benchmark by which we evaluated our future tours. Her directions as we walked through extremely crowded areas assured us that we were following her correctly. The earphones given to us were extremely uncomfortable. The following day we brought along our own earphones, which helped a lot, but my ears were still sore from this tour.

We were the only two people on the tour as it was during January, the quiet season. Our guide was fantastic, she was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I didn't think the history was going to be one of my favorite things in Rome but I loved hearing about the gladiators and Caesars. She took plenty of photos for us and walked us to the shopping area where we were going to afterward so we didn't get lost. A very personalized experience.
