This was incredible... Just being there could have been enough, but our guide was wealth of knowledge. Never stopped talking during the entire 3-3 1/2 hours. All great info. Was always open to questions. Found out at the end that she had a PhD in Archaeology from the University of Rome.

This was really fun. The "square" they are refering to is actually a circle above the metro if you get confused. They dont allow tripods in here (or anywhere in italy it seem) so beware of having one. Still tho it was a great tour. Very informative. Wish I could have stayed a bit longer in the coloseum itself but nevertheless was awesome.

This tour was great. The guide certainly knew all about the Colosseum and ancient Rome. She was also very friendly and was very kind to our 8yo daughter. Highly recommended.

Well worth getting up for! not only do you learn about the history of the colosseum, but you get to walk upto the palentine hill and see some amazing ruins. our tour guide had some great books that showed us the present photos of today and a reconstruction of how the area used to look. the morning can be a little cold but it was worth it.
