The tour was informative, and the guide was very knowledgeable. It was definitely worth the investment for us as were travelling with kids. There were minor snags with the meeting point at the beginning and the missing earphones as the person responsible did not show up. However, the guide's knowledge more than made up for the gaps. During July, it was very hot, so carry a good cap or hat and cold water.

We had a small group and a wonderful guide who was an archaeologist. She was well worth the price alone! Don't waste your valuable time standing in line.

The tour was absolutely worthwhile. We had only two days in Rome, and did the Vatican tour and the Ancient Rome and Colosseum Walking Tour. Walking by yourself, you will never gain the wealth of information, insight, and little bits of interesting facts that the English speaking tour leaders give you. So glad we missed the long queue of people standing in the scorching sun waiting to buy tickets! The tour includes three hours of walking in the sun, so take good shoes and sun screen! Our tour leader made the history come alive for us! It was clear that he has a wealth of knowledge and a lot of enthusiasm to share this knowledge. When visiting these sites, it is so difficult to fathom that you are standing on steps and paths and in buildings of which some have been built B.C. This is a must for any visitor to Rome!

We only had 2 full days in Roma, as we were told by our guide to call it, and booked the 3-hour Colosseum tour for the first morning. In 3 hours we saw the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, and the Forum, and heard the history behind it from a very knowledgeable guide. As the tour says, beat the queue, and this must have saved us an hour at least.

The trip was just great, and we spent just the right amount of time visiting each area. The guide allowed plenty of time to take pictures.

Within 3 hours you will see everything you need to in the Colosseum area, which would take a normal tourist 7 hours to see. Just be ready to walk!

We had a fabulous tour guide. He really knew what he was talking about. The tour was three hours, but went by so fast we did not know where the time went. It was fantastic!

The guide made this tour; he was EXCELLENT! He did a great job of transporting us back to the times of gladiators, emperors and other historical legends. There was a fair bit of walking in the tour, but it was worth the effort, and the guide made sure we forgot our sore feet with his wonderful stories and jokes!
