Everything about the day was great. Small group meant we had "special" attention in every respect. And the lunch was spot on.
Our guides were knowledgeable, humorous, passionate and patient.
We, as a 60+ couple, would highly recommend this tour for anyone
This tour is wonderful for those who are only able to schedule one day in Florence while on vacation in Rome. The sights you will view speak for themselves. It was our tour guide, Giovanna, and her skills that made the tour run smoothly. She treats you like "famiglia" the entire time. She was organized, knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
As for the tour, you meet at Piazza del Popolo and move quickly to your private coach and begin the journey to Florence. On the bus Giovanna begins to do what she does best; tell stories. She begins to speak of what you will see in such a manner that by the time you arrive you are filled with excitement and anticipation. Once you arrive you are greeted by a local tour guide, given individual headphones and begin walking through Florence. This local tour guide is present only as you walk through Florence. She exits at lunchtime. Unfortunately as you only have a limited amount of time you must walk by many sights (the Church of Santa Croce, Uffizi Gallery) but you will go to the Duomo Santa Maria Del Fiore, Ponte Vecchio, and of course The Galleria dell'Accademia!
The tour includes lunch (I'm not sure if it will be the same restaurant for each tour), but we went to The Clubhouse. To and from Florence "pit stops" are made, each were clean and offered snacks for purchase.
Of course the highlight is Michelangelo's "David." Thankfully you will skip the line, allowing more time to experience the masterpiece. I suggest that you download "Rick Steve's podcast" and listen to it as you tour the Galleria.
Remember there is a lot of walking on this tour. Wear comfortable shoes, and be prepared for crowds.
Enjoy the experience.
This was the best tour!!!

guide for this trip was very good and informative. the walking trip was just about right in length, 3 hours. The lunch on this particular trip was very good for a lunch provided by a sightseeing tour. This trip was worth the money

What can I say about our Florence tour that has not been said before! An absolute must. This is the second tour I take to Florence and still can't get enough. I'll be booking again next year. The guide, the food, and the shopping were extraordinary!
this tour was nice, our tour guide in florence was very very good, forgot the name, very informative and definitely proud to be from florence, i can feel it in her voice how proud she was of florence, she will make you love florence....i think this is dark rome tour, go for this, dont use other tour lines, it's horrible, before booking pls check who is the local tour operator:)
This was my first day tour and it was one of the best! Stefano was excellent and so helpful to each of us. We only had a total of five people in our tour which made this even better. Florence was beautiful and Angelo the tour guide was very good. Overall this was well worth the money!!
This was a fantastic tour! Both guides were passionate and informative. The driver was funny too! Highly recommend it!
I loved Florence and the service of Dark Rome

Our guide Joanna, was very knowledgeable and communicated very effectively. Even with the long ride she kept all interested with her accurate historical overviews of the country and the people. I had not been to Florence but as soon as we got off the van I immediately recognized the area.
Loved Florence. Both guides were great! Mario was a mine of information on any Italian subject.
Such a lot to see - so little time. Great day - shame to lose so much time to travel but day is informative and with some time to relax with free time. Consider going by bus and returning by fast train to give you some more time in Firenze!
