Skipping the line was a big plus, and the guide was friendly, knowledgeable and overall very good.

It was really good to have our own guide. The only problem was that with the other thousands of people there it was hard to hear her at times, and also difficult to get everywhere. We also had trouble finding our meeting place as we did not know the area and were given false directions several times by the officers we asked, so ended up a bit frazzled when we finally met our guide. Nevertheless, she was very good, and the tour overall was good.

We spent a lot of time outside talking about the tour of the Vatican. It would have been helpful to have the headsets to hear the tour guide as we did have a little difficulty at times and with such a small group we should have always been able to hear him. The guide was pleasant and prompt.

The tour guide was fine, but the charge for a three-hour tour is excessive. The alternative, taking a tour with a group at a much lower price, is strongly recommended.

This tour was valuable getting you through the waiting lines, but that is about it. The tour guide was not a good English speaker and so her descriptions of the art and rooms were very limited. You are very rushed through the rooms, we felt like cattle, and at one point my husband just went moooooo. We were really looking forward to this tour, and we were quite disappointed.

Although the guide was friendly and spoke English well, he was not particularly informative. He also essentially ignored my mother and myself if we weren't walking right next to him. He didn't offer us any choices about what to see, instead sticking to his own agenda. I took the tour with my eighty five year old mother, who doesn't have any specific physical disabilities but doesn't move as fast as someone in their twenties either. We were around the tour guides for the other Viator Vatican experiences, and they seemed more informative.

The check-in person first incorrectly allocated us to a group without a guide while we actually paid for a private guided tour. I had to ask the person 3 times before she checked into her record. This was not good customer service. We could not get moving until 10am, and we arrived for the 9.10am tour. This spoiled our day!

We booked a private prepaid tour in Rome. We waited for the guide after being instructed to be there early - no guide showed up. Luckily we asked another group guide. The group was waiting for the guide to show up, there was no show as he was stuck in traffic or something like that. By then it was 1 hour after we were supposed to start. Our choice was to wait another hour in hope another guide will show up but we opted out. The only positive point was that we got our money back.
