Guide Cosmo was wonderful - gave lots of insights into the Basilica. The views from the top of the Cupola were the best we got in Rome. Definitely recommend this tour as opposed to navigating Basilica on your own.
I was very happy with the tour. It was not a huge group, it was easy to follow the guide and understand her via the intercom. We got a very comprehensive history of the basilica, but I am sure we could have spend three times the time there hearing about each mosaic and statue. Even though I have vertigo I did manage to get to the top of the dome. Half way through ascend you go inside the basilica about 40-50 meters high and look down inside. That was probably the most scary part for me. The steps going up could be a bit claustrophobic. Up in the dome I was standing back against the wall and I could easily manage it. The view worth it all.
This was a very special experience, and the view from the top of the dome was something very special indeed. Availing of a tour in the morning is a good idea. The tour guide was lovely and very informative, and the time went by very quickly, one could not help be impressed so much by the beauty and ambience, it is very highly recommended that this would be on any travel to Rome, and a guided tour is a great way to have some very interesting insights, you won't be disappointed.

We had very good guides for both the inside of St. Peter's and the Dome. I would note that the walk the dome is somewhat challenging and people who do not do well in closed in spaces should avoid it.
Both guides were excellent. Knowledgeable, considerate and pleasant.
Views were unmatched from anywhere else in Rome. Great guide. The climb is somewhat laborious, but worth every step!
A very interesting tour of the Basilica without overwhelming participants with information. The skip the line entry ticket is well worth paying for, especially on hot days when queues can be draining.
It was so great. Knowledgeable and friendly guides- Catalina is amazing.
Great tour through the Basilica! View of the Cupola is amazing. Good guide which definitely adds to the experience.
This was a great way to see St Peter's Basilica and the top of the Cupola with certainty of timings. Our tour guide Claudia was excellent and we were provided with earpieces that allowed us to catch all of the commentary.
Fantastic tour of St. Peter's Basilica, including the top of the cupola. Tour guides were very knowledgeable, articulate, and friendly. It was a highlight of my time in Rome. Highly recommended.
We only decided to take this tour after we heard stories about the waiting line. So glad we did! Our guide for the basilica shared with us that she likes to highlight specialties of the Basilica that cannot be commonly found in all the guide books. Smart.
Our dome guide, Amil, was both knowledgeable and energetic. Be sure the dome part of your tour! The view of the Basilica from inside the drum is exciting -- you are surrounded by walls of mosaics and can view the inside of the dome. Once on top of the dome, you view St. Peter's square, surrounding buildings, gardens and all of Rome! from high up..Stunning views.
The only complaint is that it took a long time for the tour guides to get our groups organized. We had to state and re-state our names and type of tour multiple times to several different guides before we were able to start the tour.
We had a wonderful guide for our tour. She was knowledgeable, energetic and very friendly. Couldn't have had a better tour! We thought she was a life long citizen of Rome with all the intimate knowledge that she had. But she told us she only moved there ten years ago from Romania. Congratulations to her for all she's learned, and now taught us, about the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica!
The best part of this tour is getting to the top of the cupola. And we had an awesome guide Camile, i think who is very energetic and happy to share with us everything about the basilica.

So many times have been here but with no explanation. We thoroughly enjoyed our guides tour explaining about St Peter's Basilica. And then enjoyed the 320 steps climbing to the Top with the views of the gardens and Rome.
The tour guide informed me the day before, that the tour ist not possible due to a mass for the pope. That was not realy good, because I had already planned the days.
But we could find an other day.
Skip the line was perfect, we have been in 10 Minutes in St. Peters Basilica. The tour guide was very good - in fact really worth to do it!
This tour was excellent and one of the best we took during our tour of Italy. Our group was small and our guide Hercules was fantastic in knowledge and presentation. The instructions to find the guide were clear and easily achieved. Skip the line is the only way to go and climbing the dome will remain a significant highlight of our holiday.
On the day of the tour, we were thrilled to walk past the line that stretched around St Peter's Square to the front of the line where very courteous staff helped check us in and take us to the entry. Mercedes was our guide for St. Peter's. She was easy to understand, demonstrated she loved what she's doing, was entertaining and informative. She was also very willing to answer questions. We were off then to the top of the Cupola with Amil. We booked several tours and had many guides, but Amil was best by far. We loved her straight forward approach - - very entertaining and informative, easy to understand and offered personal insight and experiences. We felt as though we had met an old friend for a stroll around the Cupola. She was amazing!!! I would definitely try to arrange for Amil and Mercedes for English tours if possible. Well worth the cost and great tour!!
We loved it, the views from the top of the Cupola are amazing!
One thing that should be improved was the person whom is waiting at the meeting point was very unfriendly. He took our vouchers and stuck a sticker on us without saying a word, started walking away without giving instructions, we just to amused to follow him. Once inside the Basilica we we're handed over to our guide whom was full of knowledge and charm! We were grateful that he was not taking us around.
Educational I didn't realize that the paintings in the Basilica were all mosaics and worth doing to skip the lines. It is a long way up and down with a very narrow staircase fits only one person at a time to the top of the cupola, but it's worth it at the top to see the views. If you have issues climbing up and down stairs either bad knees or weak heart or are claustrophobic especially with narrow, spiral staircase, don't climb all the way to the top of the cupola.
Excellent tour. Our guide was great -- very informative and attentive the entire group in a very crowded space. The tour is worth the price simply to skip the line which looked to be two-three hours of a wait in the hot sun. We skipped every line and only waited less than three minutes for security and then inside for distribution of headsets and tour logistics five minutes. The trip to the top of the Cupola was worth it as well -- some find the climb long, but it's very interesting -- spiral staircases, seeing the curved walls of the inside of the dome, etc. Again, an excellent guide. Stop looking -- just book this tour.
