Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Skip the Line: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica Half-Day Walking Tour. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
Great tour. Quite a lot of walking involved in the 3 hour tour but very interesting and worth the visit.
This tour was amazing, and our tour guide Francesca brought ancient Ronme to life.
Would recommend to anyone to take this tour, it's so interesting!
Great tour and tour guide. Amazing to jump the queue;-) I can thoroughly recommend.
our Vatican and Sistine guide was not only informative , had perfect English and had all the time for the group. We started early and we where only four, and it turned to be a great experience. Would love to go and do it again this time would add the Vatican Gardens.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. Unfortunately we were unable to visit St. Peter's Basilica as the Pope was in residence but as suggested by our guide we returned early the next morning and avoided the crowds to climb to the top of the Basilica for only another 5 euros!
Tour was fantastic and guide very knowledgeable of relating history
We had a small group. Our guide was extremely knowlegeble. The tour fare exceeded expectatiions
IT WAS GREAT. THE TOUR REPRESENTATIVE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE; HE MANAGED TO SHOW AND DESCRIBED LOTS OF HISTORY AND PRESENT LIFE OF THE VATICAN.
THANK YOU FOR THIS KIND OF TOUR GUIDES.
My husband and I did this tour during our stop in Rome, it was incredible. We weren’t sure how we felt about a group tour and worried about being able to either keep up or hear all the info. Our guide was not only extremely knowledgeable but friendly, funny and patient! Without question or hesitation I recommend this tour for anyone who really wants to see "it all" for the best value and good amount of time. SO glad we found Viator!
An incredible experience not only for Christians but also for those interested in the art and architecture of Italy.
Great tour...needed more time as there was so much to see. Tour guide had detailed and informative facts and kept a lively pace of dialogue. Wish the price quoted had been inclusive as we did not like having to pay additional fees before the tour started. Would do this again as there is so much to see.
This is the only way to see this site. Let let anyone tell you differently. We passed up everyone. It was fantastic. A once in a lifetime trip. Others waited up to half a day in line.
This tour is absolutely essential if you don't want to join a line of around 30,000 people waiting to get into the Vatican. Our provider was EnjoyRome, and our tour guide, Marzia, was the BEST! Very knowledgeable and full of interesting bits of history (like the "Mongolian Last Supper" tapestry). Before we even walked in to the Sistine Chapel, she provided a 15-minute talk on Michelangelo and his travails and pointed out items we wouldn't have known about. If you've never seen St Peter's, the Sistine, and the Vatican museum, book this tour and ask for Marzia!
Avoiding the queue saved as long as 4hrs at least, a sound investment, our guide was excellent; knew her subject beyond the normal patter, was amusing and respectful at the same time. Any devout visitors should however be prepared for the ignorance and lack of respect shown to their faith by visitors around them; Americans and those of Oriental origin do not appear to understand the concept of respect (silence and no photos) for the beliefs of others: I am not a religious person but could see the upset in others. An amazing experience made all the better for the quality of the input by the staff, maybe a warning somewhere in the literature/e-mails of the offence that some may feel might be appropriate, well done.
