An excellent, stand out tour - - our guide (Alfredo I think) was excellent - knowledgable and passionate about his subject. We paid extra for the early, small group tour which is well worth it - no queues or fuss. St Peter's Basilica is breath taking - you don't realise the scale of the main dome until you check out the people on the upper levels (looking ant like) - well worth the effort to climb up (or take lift). Museums and Sistine Chapel all well worth the visit - so much to see for those interested in art and culture spanning previous three millenia
Skipping the long lines was well worth it. Tour guide was excellent.
Very well organized and executed. Highly recommended.
Francesca was the best
Amazing!!! Our tour guide was very friendly and knew her stuff. I strongly recommend to pre-purchase this tour as you get to skip the line, luckily the day we went was not so busy but the line was still very long.
Extremely good guide who knew his subject and was obviously very enthusiastic about the whole Vatican City! Well done.
Our guide, Francesca was terrific! Very knowledgeable and passionate about her work and everything she explained.
Excellent guide with faultless English. He was an archaeologist (I think called Fabrizio?) and was extremely knowledgeable about what we were looking at, but didn't go on for too long and in too much detail like some guides I have experienced. The tour was thoroughly enjoyed by all members of our party. The only negative would be the difficulty in actually finding your office, but our taxi driver knew where it was, fortunately.
Wonderful way to see the highlights. Group size at 12 makes for a great personal feel. Getting started before the crowds and skipping the lines makes it worth the money alone,
This tour was brilliant and the guide, Priscilla, was fabulous. She was informative, friendly, helpful and organised. I highly recommend this tour, I do not normally do tours at all but it was a brilliant feeling to be walking past the huge queue outside the Vatican and great to be escorted directly to see a lot of the main features in the Vatcian Museum. We did the early tour and all went very smoothly. Well done, and a huge thank-you to Priscilla!! Michelle Bodington
With 29,000 people visiting, this is a must. We arrived at 8am (doors open at 9), and the line had already surrounded the Vatican. The tour was interesting, and the tour guide truly cared for the group. Definitely worth it! The only downside is that the office itself was a bit hard to find, and that they only accept cash inside for the tickets. Regardless, should I visit again, I am taking the same tour.
This was our third tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica that we have booked through Viator. There is so much to see that none of the tours have been exactly the same and all of them have been very good. With summer crowds being what they were, it was well worth the money to have a tour guide taking care of securing tickets and keeping us going in the right direction. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was good at maneuvering our group through the hordes of other people. I would highly recommend this tour!
