Great tour and probably the best way to see the Vatican on a budget. Couple of notes of caution: the package does not include admission to the Vatican. You have to buy it at the tour guide office and they mark it up 6 euros for profit. Second, we did not spend much time in the Vatican museum. The guide asked us if we wanted to but there was not much of a response so we moved past. If you want to see specific things in the museum, be sure to speak up.
I recommend this tour if this is the first time at the Vatican and looking for a basic tour. The Vatican is overwhelming aesthetically and crowd wise so having a guide was key to navigate through the Vatican. The price is worth the guide plus not having to wait in line. If you do not do a tour you will have to wait in line over an hour, likely 2 hours its not worth the time to wait so buy a ticket and tour.
Our tour guide was incredible, she was very knowledgable. it my favorite tour of our entire vacation.
The tour was amazing ! The guide was incredibly knowledgable . Worth every penny
Our tour guide here was excellent. Energetic and informative. By booking this tour we skipped a line that would have cost us over 90 minutes of waiting. And the tour itself is excellent-- so much to see it is vital to have a guide.
No way I would have gone otherwise. The lines were crazy and we walked right in
A good tour, we almost didn't make is as the ticket you must print at home is 3 pages long. While page 1 would get you in, the other pages tell you where to meet. This is important as there are many tour companies that run these type of tours and this group meets 2 blocks away from the museum. Why the essential info is not all on one page is a mystery.
Wonderful! Our guide, Irene was knowledgeable about the art, her English was superb, and she had a charming personality. We didn't wait in a single line anywhere!
Great tour, wonderful to skip the line, see all the interesting sights and tour guide is very knowledgeable!
The tour was wonderful and showed my sister and me the amazing history of Rome. Scarlet, the tour guide, made the tour very interesting and humanized the people who lived many centuries ago. She was funny and very well informed about all the history.
Excellent tour. Fully recommend. Lots of information you would never get from a book or by walking around.
Fabulous tour. Our guide, Fabrizio, was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions and we were lucky to have a relatively small group of 13. So glad we booked a skip the line tour as the queues into the Vatican were very long.
Great tour -- very informative and well paced. Our guide was wonderful at navigating the crowds and keeping everyone together. Highly recommend!
Patricia did a great job! She was very passionate in all her explanations which shone through her facial expressions! We had a great time and learned a lot!
Excellent tour and excellent guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our guide was also able to get the Vatican staff to let us go straight into the Sistine Chapel from the map room, even though the rest of the crowd was directed to an 1 hour detour. This allowed our tour to stay on schedule.
There really needs to be a better way to go over what we will see in the Sistine Chapel than standing out in the courtyard in the direct sun. It was stiflingly hot there.
Even with the volume turned up all the way, it was still hard to hear the guide over the audio device.
Great except for the Metro strike which spoilt things.
So worth it! Felix was a great guide and it was well done and we walked right past hundreds of people waiting in the hot sun! Got to see all highlights of the entire Vatican in one afternoon. Good life decision.
Loved it although would have liked more time. Nothing wrong with the tour just personally would have liked more. Tour guide was lovely and friendly.

Our tour of Vatican was great. The tour guide Francesca was Knowledgeable, Friendly and Courteous.
We were able to enter rather quickly ahead of the crowds which was worth the hassle alone.
Francesca kept the tour interesting with her comments and personality.
This was our second time at the Vatican both times we used Viator and were pleased with the results.
Excellent tour. The guide was full of knowledge and passionate about his subject. Really enjoyed it.
Fantastic tour, brilliant guided by Sara, who was really well informed about all the art, history and culture.
Guide was awesome and truly made the experience! Vatican City seemed like a maze and the lines were endless so the skip the line and guided tour made the trip easy and enjoyable!
Nicholas was a great tour guide. So knowledgable about the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's Basilica. Especially liked that he pointed out things to look for before we went in. It was so crowded that day that if he tried to speak to us inside, it would have been lost. Enjoyed every minute!
Tour guide made this excellent. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and spoke excellent English.
Be aware of additional €23 per person charge on arrival at at meeting point that isn't particularly clear at time of booking. Not sure why it isn't just included in the total price when paying online
So many tourists in Rome from Easter that is tour was the only sane and timely way to get into the Sistine Chapel - which is always worth a visit our third time in there. Basilica was unexpectedly closed by the Pope on the day of this tour which didn't bother us as we went to Masses in the Basilica and did a self tours during the next few days after this tour. Guide was outstanding with the knowledge of the architecture, art work, and history of the Vatican buildings. Definitely worth the price of the tour.
Brilliant! The tour guide was extremely knowledgable and entertaining. Great tour!!!
We had the most excellent tour guide, she was fab! Very knowledgeable, but not pushy, she told us all the details we wanted to know, and judged how much to talk about certain topics based on individual ability I think. For example, I asked about certain paintings or objects and she targeted her response to the things I was interested in - medieval history. Really lovely, and she finished dead on time with minutes to spare, showed us where we had to exit the building and where we could go for further tower tours etc. Plus skipping the line was a godsend on Easter weekend. Well done! :
Anna our tour guide brought this tour to life with her knowledge and enthusiasm.
Nicholas, our Guide was excellent! Very knowledgeable and professional!
Great, the interior of the building are amazing, after our tour we were told that you could go up the st Peters right to the top which is well worth the 500 stairs or 300 with the lift for only €7 our tour was great aswell
This was the 8:00 tour before the Vatican museums opened - and it was on Good Friday. I heartily recommend this tour to avoid the queues and the crowds once inside. We actually got to take photos with no-one in them - on Good Friday. Also, our particular guide was great. She gave us some great insights into the Sistine chapel, Michelangelo and Catholicism at the time of the Sistine Chapel creation.
Our guide was so knowledgable it made me see the Vatican in a completely new way... Loved it !
This tour lived up to its name Skip the Line. The Line was wrapped around the corner or the museum and it was so nice to get right in. Actually we still had to wait due to the extra people there free day and Easter Sunday. It was extremely crowded but our guide did an exemplary job of keeping calm and keeping us together. When we arrived at the tour office we were informed that the Pope had closed the Sistine Chapel so we were given several options as compensation. which I appreciated.
My tour guide was great and knew so much about the history and architecture. I left the Vatican having learned so much. My tour guide was unable to take us through St. Peter's Basilica because of the time (3pm) which was not stated on the tour I purchased which was frustrating. Still a good tour.
We loved this tour--made especially rich because of the passion and knowledge of our guide Nicola. He was wonderful. The amount of time was perfect and Nicola's ability to answer a broad range of questions made each persons experience strong. I'd recommend this tour unequivocally!
Excellent experience - despite large numbers we moved through quickly and received wonderful insight from our guide.
We had the best tour guide. The Vatican was packed, but our tour guide kept us entertained and informed the entire time. Without the guide, I am not sure how we were going to be able to handle the madness. We also skipped the two and three-hour long lines to enter the Vatican and got in within 15 minutes. The downside is that you still have to pay for the admission to the museums, which was like 24 euros or so.
Our guide for this tour was wonderful and very knowledgeable. She provided great information about histoy and the art in the Vatican. We entered ahead of the long lines and toured the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. Well worth the price! Excellent guides.

Loved it! Tour guide was very good and easy to understand. The tour was well worth the money, but be prepared to do a great deal of walking...some areas had steps to climb.
I can't recommend this tour highly enough. The guide was informative and very knowledgeable. We skipped the queues and had a full 3 hour tour. I usually prefer to explore things myself so was initially sceptical but both myself and my partner were thoroughly impressed with the tour guide and the organisation. A definite must for any visitors to Rome.
Great to skip the long waiting lines! The tour was very interesting and our guide Felix friendly and knowledgeable.

Well worth the money! The tour was educational and visually breathtaking as we walked through the museums and the Sistine chapel. A must do if you're visiting Rome, whether your religious or not.
Guide was fantastic, good English and very humourous. Ten out of ten, well done!
We had a great tour guide who was very personable and extremely informative regarding the Vatican. The ability to skip the line which seemed like it never ended as we walked past was worth the money on its own. We highly recommend booking this trip of a lifetime!
