Excellent tour with a wonderful guide, Tiffany, who was very knowledgeable and interesting. The breakfast prior to the tour was fantastic and the early morning start gave us more opportunity to see the exhibits without the crowds. Would highly recommend this tour.
Didn't want this tour to end! Our lovely guide Shannon was so knowledgable, she made the whole tour memorable, such a thrill. We were delighted we booked the early morning option for this tour, very tranquil for at least 1.5hrs before the 'rush' - made such a difference.
Taking a small group tour of the Vatican was highly recommended to us from a friend and after our tour, we were so happy that we took our friend's advice, because there is so much we would have missed (both visually and educationally) if not done so. I think we struck gold as well with our tour guide Nina - she made a very special trip for us that much better - very knowledgeable and just simply the best tour guide we could have asked for. I have already recommended this same tour and guide to other friends and family that will be visiting Rome here in the near future.
this is one of our best trips ever, having breakfast with Tiffany inside the vatican was an experience that will last forever, we were 1st into the museum it was like our own private party, got a bit busy in the cistern chapel but hey what a great day. we would have hated the long lines so the early start was well worth it
thank you guys 5*
Our tour guide was exceptional. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We liked her so much we requested her for the skip the line ancient Rome and colosseum tour. Well worth skip the line, no wait.
Our tour guide was amazing. Not having to wait in a single line was worth every penny especially when we saw all those people waiting in the heat! Thank you for a great experience.
The group is a smaller group which is very nice. Our guide Chiara was very personable and very knowledgable. You have a headset to hear your guide as often there is background noise from other groups.
It was great being able to see everything before the crowds and the guide was wonderful.
Outstanding tour! Small group and being early in the morning was great. Skipping the lines was well worth the price of this tour. Started to get crowded 2 hours into the tour. Alexandro, our guide, was great. I've been to the Louvre and this definitely rates the same awe factor. The nice thing is after the guided tour, you are able to go back and tour the rooms you don't get to see. The tour lasted 3 hours, but you definitely want to spend a few more hours looking around. Also, I recommend walking to the top of the dome. It is well worth the view. They are also telling the truth about covered knees and shoulder. Another tip is if you are bring a backpack, you have to stow it at the beginning of the tour, then you have to walk around the outside of the Vatican wall back to the entrance to retrieve your bag (approximately 400 m). I would recommend buying your souvenirs at the Vatican gift shop. Their prices were cheaper than the stores outside the Vatican.
I loved the whole adventure, I was worried I could not print my voucher as I had it on my iPad, I found the team down the bottom of steps near the cafe as instructed and they had me on the list..
The tour guide, Sandra was so passionate about her countries history and happy to answer questions. She considered others in the group who could not make all the stairs, she help me as a single traveller to know how to get to the steps to climb St Peters Basilica and how to get back to collect my backpack as it is not that easy to find. A very informative tour with a wonderful guide and group, nice that it was small as we got through the queues quicker also.
Tour size was perfect -- easy to stick together and make it through the crowds. Our guide Marta was kind and knowledgeable. I appreciated the fact that the tour ended just outside of St. Peter's so that we could go back inside and take extra time exploring everything.
It was well worth having a guide. I wouldn't have gotten the education with out her.
