Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Tickets. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
The day we were there, the line to the Vatican Museum went all the way around the Vatican City Walls kilometres long. I couldn't believe that people were standing in the heat for so long. We were able to just walk past them and meet our guides who were very organised and prompt. They split us into groups with different coloured stickers (those who were just gaining entry and those who would have a tour) and quickly led us straight to the entrance and through security. It was well worth the few extra euro and I highly recommend this, expecially in the Summer if you want to avoid extremely long queues in the scorching heat.
Nice tour! Our group were able to get in the museum in no time...No waiting in long line, once were in, we were on our own and able to enjoy the famous Varican museum and Sistine Chapel.. Worth your money!
The tour guide, Simon, was outstanding. He balanced history, politics and religion to keep the entire group engaged. We had been on several cruise boat tours, but they could not compare to the depth and breadth of our guides knowledge and story-telling ability.
Rome is magical. Our biggest issue was the number of people that tried to hawk differents products and servcies to us on the street, it became quite unnerving and at times worrying arounds the children.
Direct and simple, easy to find the contact. Well organized, and definitely worth skipping the line at the Vatican. This is JUST to get in the museum, it doesn't come with a tour guide, which was fine by us!
These tickets may not be necessary in the off-season; however, if traveling in the summer, I would highly recommend. Lines were insane--and the heat was off the charts. Once inside, however, the museum and Sistine Chapel are incredible. Also: As there is no charge for entering St Peter's Basillica, these passes do not apply for this portion of your visit. Go early--possibly even the day after the museum visit--to avoid waiting in line for hours in brutal temps. Recommended for the Cathedral:7am-9am. Be prepared to be swarmed by vendors selling tours surrounding the Vatican.
was quick and easy, met tour guide at designated time and place, jumped the que to get into the vatican museum got our tickets and off we went. deff worth seeing.
The skip the line tickets were well worth the extra money. The queue to pay at the door to the Vatican museum was very long and involved a 3 hour wait in the July sun. As promised, the tour guide arrived at the agreed time and place and entry to the museum was quick and with no fuss - or waiting in line.
