Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
Be prepared for a lot of walking and huge crowds! We went in the morning - some say afternoon is better due to fewer people. Wonderful guide and very knowledgeable - but once inside we were with so many other tours and the crowd is incredible. So is the museum! Headsets made it easy to follow our guide. Wish we had a little more time in St. Peter's Basilica with our guide. We were able to stay inside the basilica after the tour and that was very nice. No way to describe the Sistine Chapel - you have to see it to believe it. But so crowded - and people don't understand the word "silence".
David was our guide and was exceptional. We had a great tour and I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to others!
Loved it, lots of walking, but our guide was excellent, explained a lot. Glad we did it. St. Peters was closed for the day, because the Pope was using it, but she went into different areas of the Museum to make up for that.
Francesca, our lovely young guide, was outstanding! Very knowledgeable and a good sense of humor. Would highly recommend this tour. Learned so much even though I had taken a similar tour some four years ago. One of the highlights of our trip!
Our guide was "Vatican Guide of the Year" and gave us a behind the scenes history of all the Vatican artifacts which literally brought them to life. Even the rain could not dampen the enthusiasm and wonder of our guide..... It was one of the most memorable highlights of our trip.
Our tour of the Vatican was wonderful. Our guide, Tiffany, was super. Her explanations were very easily understood, she clearly loved what she was doing, I would definitely do a tour with her again. She took a great deal of care with my 87 year old mother, and let us skip a lot of stairs going through a shortcut to the Sistine Chapel. I really appreciated that.
I highly recommmed this tour. The tour guide is a certified art historian. She was fantastic! The history and the details of the of the sights viewed were very well explained. It is a very enjoyable tour.
Wonderful experience visiting the Vatican Museum with excellent, knowledgeable, personable tour guide, Claudia.
A must see in Rome, Sarah our guide was very informative and knowledgeable which made it much more interesting. She did a great job in talking about the history. I would highly recommend this tour, ask for Sarah as a guide.
This tour was terrific. David our tour guide was very knowledgable and spoke English very well and was easy to understand. This tour lived up to the hype. The only line we stood in was the line for the bathroom. David was the ultimate host for the tour and the group of 20 was the perfect size to get through all the places in a timely manner. Thanks David for all your knowledge and humor.
Excellent tour and Paulina was an excellent tour guide. Highly recommend. Viator is a great company to deal with. Easy and dependable.
My wife and I were simply in awe of the many sights to see on this tour. Of course, three hours is hardly enough time to take in the wonderful works of art. It is a shame, but a fact of life, that we could only spend 10 minutes in the Sistine Chapel.
This tour was absolutely fantastic..Our tour guide Natasha was so knowledgeable and gave us indepth details of the art and scultures we saw. The Sisitine Chapel was very beautiful and before we entered the chapel Natasha, gave us a short preview of what we would see. St. Peter's Basilica was breath-taking..a very spiritual experience, I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
