We had a very knowledgeable tour guide on this tour. I think he said that he was an art historian. Anyway, he gave a very good talk on the paintings of the Sistine Chapel before we went in. Again, the radios were wonderful to have. It is so nice to hear the tour guide.

Fabulous. Both the morning and afternoon guides were exceptional . . . very friendly, informative and helpful.

Francesco was our guide and what a history man he is! The tour was fantastic! We skiped the line of thousands of people and so much information and details that we could not know if we did not had a guided tour! I recommend this one if you are visiting Rome!

I was a bit concerned as I was wondering how a 8h tour for only around 90 Euro could really be of high quality where tickets for the vatican museums and a bus tour are already included. My concerns turned out to be totally unnecessary - both our tour guides arranged everything perfect. It was a real pleasure to listen to them. I definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent tour. The guide was very well informed and helpful. So much to see. It was breathtaking. If we had gone by ourselves without the guide, we would have been like all the others, just staring at stuff with no idea of what we were looking at. Thanks

This was an exceptional tour do to our guides. Unfortunately, I cannot spell the name of the first guide who was a tiny, fiesty young "tiger" (her saying) lady. This was very informative and I would do it again.
The afternoon guide was Rebecca from the USA and she also did a great job of the tour of the Basilicas. Very infomative as well.
All in all, I would recommend this tour.

Highly recommend this tour, guide Elena is excellent, she is really nice and explained every statue, paintings and tiny bit in almost everything in Vatican Museum. I am so happy to have made this choice to join Viator. Great ! Afternoon visits to different Basilicas were nice too

Tiffany was our tour guide. She was fanastic!! Spent the entire day with her and loved every minute of it. Her religious, political and Rome history knowledge is unbelieveable! She knows how to mix history, and religion, and then mix in some humor! Tiffany spoke about the religioius figures like they were her best friends she had dinner with last night!! She really made our full tour a wonderful experience. Wish I could have taken her with me the entire time in Rome!!

This tour was our favorite! The Vatican is a special place, built from the recycled antiquity left over from ancient Rome. It houses the vicar of Christ and many wonderful illustrations of man's devotion to God. Our guide was very well informed and presented herself as a true professional.

Our guides were excellent. The lunch break is the perfect way to relax and gear up for the afternoon part of the tour (to the churches). The AC on the bus to the churches was dismal. Overall a great tour to see as much as you can in 1 day! Would definitely recommend it. Great value for the money.

With five million visitors a year the "skip the line" tour provides more time to view and an informed guide provides the interpretive information to appreciate the vast collection of art in the Vatican Museums. Keep in mind that visitors are not permitted in much of Vatican City so you will not see the gardens and other areas reserved for Vatican residents and visiting dignitaries. Our guide had an art history degree and was able to provide good information about what we saw.
