This is a MUST DO for every visitor to Rome - take the small tour and see the underground and upper tier of the Colosseum.
Our guide was remarkable and so very knowledgeable. Two thumbs way up!

A must see to get to the restricted areas. Our tour guide was wonderful, knowledgeable and so enthusiastic. The walk through the forum was breathtaking. So worth doing if you have the time.

Fantastic information. The only suggestion I have is to break the tour into 2 parts with a 2 hour break in between for a sit down and lunch. I did a similar tour several years ago and after the Colosseum tour we went away for a break and met the guide 2 hours later for the Forum and Palantine tour. Doing it al in one go is very tiring.

This tour is totally worth it! First, the tour guides were great (both of ours were archeologist and they were very knowledgeable)! Between the Colosseum and the Ancient Rome tour it's almost too much to take in the time you are there. As an architect- I think this tour was perfect and you can't come to Rome without taking this tour. My wife and I have so many wonderful pictures from this day! Still wish we were there.

The skip line help us save time an hour in the long line. Guide leader have the best knowledge of her duty. Without the tour we won't see underground and upper tier and close to arena as we got.

We had a wonderful tour and our guides could not have been better. Unfortunately we had a problem getting to the Colosseum and ended up being a little late - we were very stressed and worried that they might have left without us but we needen't have worried.....not only did several othe guides and Colosseum workers help us find our groupbut our leader had waited and was very friendly! Both guides on the tour were knowledgable and enthusiastic and we loved every minute of it - paying for a tour was well worth it.

My wife, daughter and I really enjoyed this tour and the amount of historical information shared by our tour guide. Our guide brought along a number of large drawings of what various buildings looked like at the time which helped bring the various sites to life. My daughter is very interested in studying archeology at University after finishing high school and afterwards said that the tour has reinforced her wish to study this. Our tour guide was clearly an expert on the area and proactively pointed out things that we would have easily missed if we weren't on a guided tour. The underground chambers and Roman Forum were particularly interesting. I'd happily recommend this tour.
