We found this tour to be so informative and interesting. The group was small, so you're not lost in a crowd while learning all about fabulous Ancient Rome! The guide was college educated with an Art degree and very well versed on her subject. This type of tour explains what you're seeing, as opposed to just walking around Rome and wondering what the stories are behind the ruins. Well worth the money

I have been to the Colosseum and Forum many times on my previous trips to Rome. Each of my past visits have been either with a tour guide or alone. I chose this tour as it included both the upper and underground portions of the Colosseum which is new to the public. First, this cannot be missed even if like me you have been here before. Second, you MUST request the fabulous Stella, our Italian tour guide friendly, patient and KNOWLEDGEABLE. My children and I learned more on that tour than ever before. Treat yourself and whoever you are traveling with this tour and don't forget to ask about Stella ..... she gets 10 stars!

This was the only way to get a complete tour of the Colosseum. It did involve a lot of steep steps but it was nicely paced. Many people who did not see the underground chambers and upper tiers regreted it later.

WOW!!!!! I went on 4 different tours while in Rome, with different companies - and this was the BEST one!!!! The only negative was where we met - it was on the street, not at an address. But once it started it was the best - the tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly, but most of all extremely enthusiatic about her job.
This tour takes you places that the other ones don't. If you love history you'll want to take this tour!!!!!!!! LOVED IT!!!!!!

This trip was so worth the money and great to beat the queues and then also go into areas where no-one else was going. Our tour guide Irena was lovely and very knowledgeable and I learnt a lot which added to the experience. Can't recommend this enough especially as the trip round the Pallentine was also included. Excellent.

This is probably the best tour that we have ever taken. Guide was so informative and knowledgeable. She really brought everything to life, especially the Forum, whuch is difficult to imagine from its present state. We had plenty of time to see what we wanted to see and take lots of pictures.
After the tour, we did stay at Palentine Hill for a while to wander around the beautiful gardens and view the phenomenal overlooks.

This was my favourite tour of all that we went on. The small group (9 of us) made a huge difference and it was well worth the extra money to be able to go into the underground chambers and the upper tier where we were the only people and had a great view for photos etc. You also get headphones so you don't have to be really close to the guide to hear what she was saying. The Roman forum and the Palatine hill did not disappoint either. I would definitely highly recommend this tour.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. The guides were very knowleable. The tour lasted three and a half hours and you needed all that time to get round everything, although it didn't feel like that amount of time had passed. It was very interesting. Getting into places that other visitors were not allowed was also very good. The atmosphere was incredible. You almost felt as if you we're back in ancient roman times. We did this tour with an elderly aunt and the guides were very patient and attentive to her making sure that she was able to keep up and arranging for her to get up to the upper levels in the lift. Fantastic tour, well worth the money. Would highly recommend!
