Awesome. I would recommend this. The guide was very knowledgeable and thorough about the vatican.
Rachel was an outstanding guide. She showed deep knowledge, was articulate, entertaining and funny. She brought history to life. She made our visit memorable. Breakfast did too.
On this trip to Europe and London, we had a total of 21 tours, this by far was the best. Our guide Rachael was fantastic, she was warm, witty and knowledgeable. Breakfast at the Vatican before the public was allowed admission was AMAZING and the food that was on offer was delicious. Our group which consists of 7 people had the place to ourselves, we were able to explore in absolute exclusivity. Of cause when doors were open to general admission, things got a bit crowded, but then again it is to be expected in high season at one of the most visited places in Rome. Nevertheless it does not take away the splendour, beauty and wonder that is the magnificent eternal city.
Really great experience, You are only allowed 15mins in the sistine chapel, but that is just due to the enormous popularity. The early start was just so cool, we were on our own until after breakfast, which was excellent.
This tour was absolutely amazing - starting with a delicious freshly prepared breakfast in the Vatican Courtyard. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable - she really made it a wonderful experience for us. We were the very first group into the Vatican that morning. Obviously, there was "no line" and there were only 8 in our group. Our guide prepared us to see so many awe inspiring things - she took her time with us and shared a lot of interesting insights. We were so-ooo glad that we booked this tour - it was well worth the price!
This guided tour was better than we even anticipated. Not only did we have the privilege of being among the first few people in the Vatican, the amount of information was incredible. I would highly recommend finding time in your trip to do this. The breakfast was really good too!
Excellent experience for this fantastic trip! The breakfast was excellent and it was really wonderful to enjoy the Vatican without the crowd! Definitely recommended!
Being able to tour the Vatican without all the tourists was well worth the price. Our tour guide was amazing....her knowledge of the history and artwork was second to none! I'd do it again and again!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The Tour Guide, Iremae, was just great - her extensive and well conveyed knowledge as we visited the Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica, and her care and enthusiastic manner made for a wonderful experience - she went out of her way to ensure that .The breakfast in the Vatican Museum courtyard was delicious, beautifully presented and well served. We definitely recommend this tour - and if people are fortunate enough to have Iremae as their guide they will have a wonderful tour.
One of the best tours I've ever taken. The guide was fantastic, she knew all the details, and gave us the best tour of the museum and St. Peter's. Dark Rome did this tour, and it was great to have the only American guide who had the accesses to give it.
This was a highlight of our month in Italy! The guide was excellent and the private tour gave the entire experience a very special feeling. It was awe inspiring! Great value.
Unbelievable Tour. We were the first 10 people allowed in the Vatican that day (other than those who live or work there). The breakfast at the Pinecone Cafe was delicious (try the Pope's "Holy Cow Milk"). They served coffee, tea, espresso and lattes, juices, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, pancakes with maple syrup (important to Canadians!). We got to experience the Vatican with very few people in the Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's allowing us to fully appreciate the art and history. Our guide was absolutely amazing. She was American (so fluent in English) and worked for the Vatican.
A great way to start the day with breakfast in the courtyard inside the Vatican. Getting an early start on the crowds is essential to an enjoyable visit. Our guide was excellent.
This may be the best tour my wife and I have ever booked. The breakfast food was great and the setting was like a picture from a post card. The tour guide was on time, knowledgeable, and she promoted questions and interaction with the small group of tourist who were absolutely the first guests to start touring the Vatican. It was so nice to view all that the Vatican has to offer without being part of the huge crowds that go through each day. Even in the Sistine Chapel we easily moved about and there was abundant seating around the edges of the chapel to view the entire ceiling and walls clearly and easily. By the time we reached Saint Peter's Basilica, some of the crowd of thousands that had been in line for well over an hour had begun to filter in, but you could still move with ease and view all the visual treasures of this stunning architectural achievement, including to burial vaults of many of the Popes. This tour is worth the effort to get up early and the cost, without a doubt. (Steve and Nina, NC, USA)
