Excellent private tour of the Vatican Museums. Very special to be in the Sistine Chapel without the crowds

This is one tour worth going on - as to go into the Vatican Museums through lifts not meant by public, see rooms which are not usually open, the astounding artwork is amazing. Sistine Chapel with just a group of 8 allowed us to enjoy the paintings on our own and at our leisure. Truly a wonderful tour!!

The Tour was definitely one of the highlights of my Rome Visit. Tiffany was a delightful, knowledgeable guide whose enthusiasm and love and appreciation of the art ensured her group enjoyed the experience to the utmost.
I am so thrilled I did the tour.

I still get the chills when I speak about our tour through the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. Shannon, our tour guide, was just amazing! There were ten of us that she took around.I felt as if we were in every knook and cranny of the Vatican. She then led us into the Sistine Chapel and waited for the public to leave. There we were ten of us and Shannon...we had the entire chapel to ourselves. She explained everything as we all walked around in awe!!

Excellent. The guide was thoughtful and nologible and charming. I especially enjoyed getting to see Bramante's circular staircase which I had read was not available to the public.. Also was thrilled to get a glimpse of the chapel of Nicholo V. My only gripe was being told that Micelangelo was married to his art. Maybe, but he wrote afew love sonnets to a very pretty young man. But then an "official Vatican guide" couldn't tell the truth about the churchs's greatest artist.

I have to say if your going to Rome you must do this tour. We went on a basic tour with 20 or so other people 2 years ago and this time around decided on this VIP tour to get more of a personalized experience. I have to say it was AMAZING! We went into rooms that were locked to other guests, our tour guide answered every single question, took pictures for us, was completely knowledgeable and a real pleasure for the 4+ hours. And when we finally arrived in the Sistine Chapel, ALONE, it was beyond words. We were in the Chapel for about an 45 minutes alone. Words can't describe this once in a lifetime experience.

My wife and I loved the tour, we were met on time by a friendly and knowlegeable guide who made the tour which is quite long and comprehensive pass by quite quickly. Really amassed at the tremendous wealth that has been collected there it must be the most condensed wealth store house in the world.

This was the most amazing trip. Our guide, Rachel, was fantastic. Full of interesting stories and truly interested in showing us round. The private rooms were exquisite! And to top it off a Private visit (group of 9) to the Sistine Chapel where Rachel was able to tell us all about it. It honestly felt like we had the entire Vatican to ourselves, no crowds at all! Truly amazing, will be booking again for my next visit to Rome in 2014!

Amazing tour and one thing you will appreciate after a few days in Rome, a tour away from the crowds. I feel incredibly privileged to have been able to sit in The Sistine Chapel for an hour with eight other people admiring the artwork. Also enjoyed relaxed viewings of the other amazing displays in the Museums such as the Hall of maps and Raphael Rooms. Expensive but absolutely worth it.
