One of the best tours I have ever been on. To be in the sistine chapel alone with 9 other people was a priceless experience!!!

This tour made the whole trip to Europe worthwhile. Danielle was the best guide we had for any of our tours. She was knowledgeable, passionate and respectful. The chance to see these museums in such a small group was a privilege and value for money this tour is outstanding. It might seem expensive but once you have done it you would pay double for this tour. Rome and the Vatican museums and Sistine chapel and this great tour would be the only attractions drawing us back to Europe. None of the other museums in Europe matched the treasures kept here. Well done Danielle, well done Dark Rome/Viator. Thank you all for this experience.

Our guide was AMAZING! I've tried to find her card with her name on it so I could rate her as AMAZING but still looking for it. When I find it I will review again and include her name. Everything about the tour was perfect. Private access to so many places and we were never crowded into any area. We would recommend the small-group tour to anyone and everyone!

5 stars doesn't seem like enough for this tour! I have one word "AMAZING!"
We spent 35 days travelling with two teenaged girls experiencing many wonderful people and places and since I've gotten home the big question has been "what was your favorite part of your triip" Each time I answer that it was my amazing experience at the Vatican and each time I have a tear in my eye. I would NOT have expected this before I left home.
The tour guide was a marvelous young woman who was originally from the USA. She amazed us with her enthusiam and her knowledge. My teenage girls soaked in her information like sponges because she made it so clear and interesting and spoke with great passion. The private viewing of the Sistine Chapel was an amazing experience....you honestly can't help but to stare up and just go WOW. Our tour guide explained every piece of the sistine chapels marvelous works and had all of our attentions! I don't recommend visiting the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel any other way!

Completely awesome. Guide was the best on the trip, and to be able to view and take pictures for 45 minutes was the highlight of our trip. Would highly recommend to anyone. Worth the $$.

This is the only way to see the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. Our guide, Anna, was such a pleasure and explained everything so well. The highlight of course was being in the Sistine Chapel after hours and we got an even better surprise as they turned the lights on while we were alone. I would encourage everyone to take this tour for a truly spectacular way to see the Sistine Chapel.

The tour was very good and our guide was great. She had graduated with a degree in History from Texas and knew her stuff. She also did not have an accent. Skip the cheaper one and run with this if you don't have kids. Worth the extra money.

The experience was particularly good because I spent the earlier part of the same day in the Vatican museum. Most of the areas I saw in the evening were closed off or vastly overcrowded during normal opening hours. It was well worth the cost, keeping in mind that, for me, it was more than the price of seven days accommodation in Rome.

The tour was great and the guide (sorry it has been a few weeks now I don't remember her name) was informative and personable. The private time in the Sistine Chapel was worth it. You get to be in there with just your small group (10-12 ppl) for about 20 minutes and photographs were permitted. The tour also included private visits to the Bramante Staircase and Nicoline Chapel. We also had the Raphael rooms to ourselves as most other visitors had left by then. One drawback of this tour is that because it is not comprehensive (no tour can be) and it is late in the day, you do not have any free time to double back and look at items in the museums you missed. (Whole galleries are skipped, covering instead the highlights and the private areas.) At the end of the tour the museums are closed and you are hustled out. Also there is no time to look at books or souvenirs in the Vatican Museum gift shop. If this tour could come with a "come back tomorrow and skip the lines" pass, that would make it superb!
