Schooner Tour to Ilha dos Frades and Itaparica from Salvador
This schooner trip to the islands of Baía de Todos os Santos ("All Saints' Bay") includes music, bar service and an experienced guide. At your first stop, you'll enjoy a refreshing swim in the warm and crystal clear waters around the Ilha dos Frades. This small, primitive island offers lush tropical vegetation and beautiful beaches.
Then you'll visit Itaparica, the most famous island in the bay. Its beaches and calm tide pools allow for a perfect diving adventure. You can also hike the trails or ride horses, as well as many other leisurely activities. This excursion, providing an outstanding overview of the Upper and Lower Cities and the islands in the bay, is an ideal day trip for the entire family!

A fun day from Salvador. The drinks and snacks on board are pricey. Great live band to entertain us. First beach was a nice swimming beach, tour operator reserved chairs and tables for the group include in price of cruise. Second stop was Itaparica island. Buffet lunch at a hotel was very good. A group of locals came and did a Capoeira performance for tips. They were very good. We were offered a very quick tour of the island for $15, not included in the price of the cruise. Very interesting and worth the small investment.
