A real experience, and educational as well. Nice train trip into the mountain and tour through aspects of the mine - audio guide at the various sections with several language options. Nice boat trip on an underground brine lake. Sliding down the wooden rails was a real buzz - WHEEEE!!

I was lucky to have a clear sunny day after a couple days of snowy weather, so the scenery was absolutely amazing. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The salt mines were a lot of fun--especially the slide and boat ride. I would definitely recommend this tour.

The salt mine part of the tour was lots of fun! My kids loved it. The Bavarian mountains were beautiful. I learned a lot on this tour.

The excursion was both informative and enjoyable. It was a very interesting tour that made us aware of little known facts of how salt is mined. Once in the mine, the tour guide mostly spoke German, however he gave ample time to the English version played separately at each location visited. Be prepared to walk and some stairs but nothing overly strenuous. Definitely different, but enjoyable

Our guide was hilarious and had us in stitches. I have been to Bertchesgaden before and visited the salt mines. On the way back, we stopped at the actual town and were given a perfect amount of time to get a meal and some chocolates shaped like mountains, which are only made there. Good trip!

Really enjoyed this. Recommend bringing packed lunch and using allotted lunch hour to look around the town instead. Beautiful scenery in Bavarian mountains, would be better if we were given an opportunity to get out and take pics. Slides were great fun.

The tour to the Salt Mine and also a view of "Eagle's Nest" was fun. Our tour guide was very nice and he interacted well with all on the tour.

I really enjoyed the mine tour. The train ride was quite an experience, and the boat through the mine was breathtaking! The tour is very rushed, and it's difficult to know what is going on if you don't speak German. The tour is given by a German guide in German, but there are stations set up with recorded voices in different languages to accommodate everyone else. The guide does not wait for you, and continues through the mine without you if you chose to listen. The recordings start after the guide finishes the German version.
Our bus was 20 minutes late to pick up the group, which threw the whole tour off schedule. We dropped off individuals on a tour of Eagles Nest first, which made our tour even later. Our bus driver took us to the mines and was quite impolite and was telling us to hurry up or we would miss the tour. It was him who was late. We stopped to take one picture of us in our mining outfits and were scolded by the bus driver telling us we were already late. Other than the tour company being late, the mine tour is definitely worth doing. It was great fun!
