Christmas Markets Tour from Salzburg
Your first stop will be idyllic Strobel, a village renowned for its Christmas nativity scene where you will get into the Christmas spirit with hundreds of candles, lanterns and Christmas trees.
Then enjoy a romantic boat ride to the rustic Christmas market of St. Wolfgang. You will pass by a giant floating lantern and the floodlit Ochsenkreuz altar and experience stunning views of the Falkensteinwand mountain. Whilst you are cruising you will hear the sound of festive fanfares echoing out across the entire lake.
The tour ends with a visit to the village of St. Gilgen, famous for its 'Sound of Music' wedding church and connections to the Mozart family. Here you have the opportunity to purchase traditional seasonal gifts such as gingerbread, hand-made toys and Christmas tree ornaments at the end of a memorable tour.

This tour was one of the highlights of my 12-night stay in Salzburg in December 2012. You visit three different villages, with a boat ride in between, and the entire day is magical.

We loved this tour. We got to see the Christmas Markets and everything was so pretty. The boat ride was very enjoyable and the scenery on the lake was so beautiful.
