Our guide was wonderful, really knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. The whole trip was great and the views at Eagles Nest (and along the way) were incredible! We were really glad we did this tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to see great views of the Bavarian Alps
What a great day. It's a bit of a crazy, curvy ride up to the Eagle's Nest, but the views are out of this world! The tour guide was very funny and knowledgeable and we got some amazing photos.
Magnificant! A must! We had a perfect view of the nest then all of a sudden their was nothing but a white out and the rain started. We were lucky to get in a few photos. The lift was incredible.
A great morning out. The weather was a bit temperamental but was still a great place to visit and got to stop off in a little town for lunch
This tour was everything we hoped for. Our guide Walter was very informative on matters not only relating to the Eagle's Nest itself, but also on many historical aspects along our journey. The visit to the Eagle's Nest itself was organised well, with a good mixture of information from Walter and free time to explore the place. Time allocated to wandering around Berchtesgaden was also appreciated. Overall a great experience.
VERY Informative. Guide's knowledge was impressive. Would recommend this to anyone interested in WWII history as well as Beautiful Austrian scenery!!!
Best tour of the trip. Our guide was spectacular!! Panorama did an excellent job. Make sure you get all of the details of this historic gem. We were glued to the side of our guide the emtire time. He was a very kind and thoughtful gentleman who was about to turn 60, and he seemed to truly enjoy .
Wonderful tour! Our guide (his name escapes me) was very knowledgeable, making the tour that much more interesting. Everything was timed to the minute, it seemed like (in a good way). Plenty of time to take in that view! When we come back to Salzburg, we will definitely book this tour again, probably adding on the salt mines portion. What a great time!
Super tour - unfortunately weather was poor on the day but still a very enjoyable experience. Our guide, Andreas, was excellent! Very highly recommended!
Tour was fantastic. The tour guide was very knowledgable and brought out lots on interesting facts. Would recommend this tour to anyone.
The most amazing view we had during our entire trip! It was wonderful to have a tour guide lead us to the important site and avoid all of the lines!
IT WAS FANTASTIC. Despite the horrible weather (which our tour guide had no control over even though he tried) we had an amazing time. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and funny, he let us ask questions and always had more information if we asked. Definitely and 'must do,' the history and the beautiful nature will captivate your imagination.
Great tour guide, Walter. Good sense of humour and very informative. He also personally spoke to everyone to see if anyone had any questions or for confirmation at the end of the tour.
Beautiful drive to the eagles nest. Informative guide. I would recommend giving the tour tickets to get on the bus at the eagles nest so there won't be any issues with guest being lost on other buses, and it would also remove the issue of OTHER tours crowding into our bus.
I was a bit disappointed in the short time allowed at the top. We thought we would be eating lunch on top - we actually ate lunch in a town below. It was nice - but not what we expected.
Guide was very funny, and easy to warm to. Wonderful location, and skipping the queue's is always win.
Loved it. We had a very good day weather wise and this apparently makes a difference. The views are spectacular. The building and the history are really interesting. Check the forecast before booking as the others we spoke to who did the tour in bad weather did not get the views. Wear good walking shoes. The area around the building is uneven and it is likely that you will want to go up the hill to get the magnificent views.
This was a really great morning out of town. The pick up service worked well, the organisation was perfect. If the trip had been conducted in total silence the scenery alone both on the way to and from the destination would have made it worthwhile. The guide was splendid. His English was perfect, very good sense of humour and kept me entertained. Maybe a wee bit more on the history would have been welcome but it was well pitched notwithstanding that. The views from the location were breathtaking.
I can only highly recommend this trip, tremendous value for money.
Excellent tour! Great information and amazing site. Guide was wonderful!
Our guide, Walter from Panorama Tours, was amazing. He constantly gave us little bits of information as we drove towards Eagles Nest and also told us what was expected during the tour. Time lines were clearly explained and he went out of his way to make our tour memorable. Tour was excellent
This is a fantastic tour. I was picked up promptly from my hotel in Salzburg and taken to the coach at the Mirabel. The tour commentary started straight away from our guide, Walter. Now Walter is a gem of a commentator. He's been doing tours for 45 years and how he keeps everything fresh is amazing. He has a great sense of humour to go with his excellent English. He pointed out items of interest all the way to the base of the mountain where the Eagles Nest is located. We changed to the special buses that take us to the top. He gave us excellent - and accurate - advice on where to buy souvenirs. Take his advice! The Eagles Nest itself is a great experience on many levels - history, architecture and scenery. You spend about an hour at the Eagles Nest which is just right - not too short, not too long. Perfect. Timing is exact on the tour so you don't miss any buses. Lunch at Berchtesgaden for one hour - they are ready for a sudden influx of hungry visitors so no rush - one hour is ample. A wonderful tour which I would do again should I be in that area and I would go with the same tour people again, too. Do note that on the return to Mirabel you find your own way back to the hotel. Ask Walter to point you in the right direction for your hotel. I could not find any faults in this tour. Everyone in my bus raved about the whole experience. Go for it.
