This is all my 8 year-old wanted to do on our entire 3 week European vacation. I can tell you that I am so glad we opted for the private tour. It absolutely poured rain for the first half, but not to be deterred, we stopped at every important SoM spot, took pictures, and even got a little behind the scenes things. I loved every minute of this experience.
Our tour was PERFECT! We had a 3 and 6 yr old, so hired a private driver. He was considerate, courteous and very open to doing all wanted. He went out of his way to accommodate our requests. He was great with the kids, waited for us when we wanted to stay longer at a spot, and made arrangements to extend our tour when we took longer than expected. Our tour surpassed our expectations and I would recommend our driver and this tour to anyone , especially to those with specific requests! Thank you so much!
If you go to Salzburg, take this tour. Sonja, our guide, picked us up in a lovely mercedes benz and toured us through the city and the country side. We saw so much more that we would have on our own or even in a group tour. Sonja was very knowledgeable and accommodating to adjust to our schedule and she made it a lot of fun!
Very informative tour. Thomas the driver spoke perfect English, was very knowledgable and accommodated all our wishes. We had a delightful 4 hours in and around Salzburg.
We showed up for our private Sound of Music tour a day late-completely our error. They were so kind and accommodated us by arranging for another private tour. They did not have to do this. We so appreciated this because our family was looking forward to this tour for quite some time. Then we hit the jackpot with Kristina as our guide. She was fabulous - so knowledgeable and personable. We were an extended family of six - Mom and Dad two teenagers an aunt and a grandma. Kristina was loved by us all. Thank you for making right our mistake! A must do if you are in Salzburg.
We had a very nice morning and our driver made it a wonderful experience. He was very knowledgeable, both with the Sound of Music movie and real story. Found many things interesting. Even our older children who didn't grow up with the movie enjoyed the tour!
Tour guide was amazing, unfortunately I do not recall his name, but I wish I did to give proper credit. Tour was customized to our liking and would highly recommend this private tour. The highlight of Salzburg for us.
We had a wonderful tour. Great guide. She was very personable. We got to see much of Salzburg and a lot of the surrounding areas to include Mondsee. Beautiful.
This private mini bus tour was perfect for my family of 6. The guide was so friendly and took many group pictures of us at scenic spots with our camera. It was a highlight of our week! We had perfect weather so that made all the vistas breathtaking! Loved it!
natasha was amazing she was so much fun.
saw everything and had a few good laughs. lunch was wonderful.
i would highly reccomend her .
We had a great time. We were a group of two adults and four students on the private tour. The two SOM fans had all their expectations met. The other 4 had a great time too. Our guide took us to lots of great sites and stopped to let us take photos whenever we wanted.
Great Great Great. Helen, our tour guide was knowledgeable, made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to show us as much as possible. Loved it.
Lisa was a terrific guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Sad to have some of the Sound of Music myths dispelled but was an excellent tour, nevertheless
Very enjoyable, good to see the countryside.
Our guide Lisa, was brilliant and we enjoyed her company.
This was a fantastic tour of Salzburg and the surrounding area. Our guide (Maria, not sure if that was her real name or just a coincidence) was very personable and very knowledgeable about the area. Even if you are not a fan of the Sound of Music, this tour is a great primer to the history of Salzburg and the Lake District. The best guided tour that I have taken to date.
The private tour was the way to go for our family. Our guide, Natasha, was able to adapt the tour to our specific interests (including those of our 9-year old). We like the "Sound of Music" but aren't super-fans; the guide appreciated that fact and could give a more nuanced approach to and delivery of the tour content. We covered a lot of ground in 4 hours and felt it was well worth it!
We had a private tour that was very well planned.
The tour leader was charming and we enjoyed the experience very much.
The scenery was gorgeous and the music in the car was just the perfect touch.
It is a trip that my family will treasure always!
My family and I spent a wonderful Sunday morning/afternoon with our guide, Natasha, who made, what would have already have been an amazing time, even more special with her terrific personality and expertise! We were able to visit all of the shooting locations from The Sound of Music filming, but at our request, she went beyond that scope and pointed out many other historical and architectural highlights of Salzburg. By the time our tour ended, we all felt like we'd made a new friend with whom we'd like to spend even more time. I highly recommend the private tour because it allows for some spontaneity and a real personal touch. I cannot express adequate kudos for Natasha. She's a real pro, and would only hope to find guides of her calibre on future tours.
The courier LIsa was excellent, such a pretty city is Salzburg and every thing connected to the tour including Lisa, she made the tour excellent with her knowledge and personality, many thanks.
We had a fabulous time. Our tour guide Eric was amazing thank you x
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. This tour is definitely well worth it. I would do it again.
We loved our private Sound of Music Tour!! Our guide Thomas was great!! We arrived a bit late, as we were driving in from Munich and he was very understanding and he still gave us the full tour of 4 hours. He was full of facts about the movie and the real Von Trapp family as well as the city of Satzburg.
