Tour guides both very informative. Sound of music guide was hilarious!
For the Salt Mines Day Trip, our guide Walters was very humourous and highly knowledgeable. The salt mines tour itself was good too and we loved the slides.
The Sound of Music tour was also excellent, with the tour guide being highly entertaining as well. In short, this was well worth the money spent!
the trip to the salt mines was very informative and the journey was very scenic and our mini bus driver Walter was very nice and spoke very good english as there was only 6 on this trip we had really good fun.
the afternoon sound of music tour was very good and both driver and guide (peter)were very jolly and informative.once again viator have not let me down and seem to get better each time i use them.
Excellent and fun tour! The tour guides really made the trip interesting while giving funny and lively commentary. Even if you are not a fan of the movie we would recommend this tour simply because the movie locations visited are gorgeous and you get to see more the country and mountain side of Salzburg.

Fantastic Guides, very knowledgeable and kept the tours light-hearted! Tour was great fun and informative. Salt mine was worth seeing. Sound of music was fun in beautiful surroundings.
If you are clueless, don't know how to read a watch and can't remember to be back to the bus within 10 to 15 minutes of the time the guide provides, be ready to rent a cab for your trip back to your hotel. We lost 1 couple at the Salt mines and 1 couple at the Sound of Music.
If you like the Sound of Music then this is the best possible tour to go on! You find out more information then steps you take during this tour which is a lot. If you have the tour guide Peter for anything then your experience is doubled because he's a great guy with hysterical comments and jokes along the ride.
The Salt Mines were really magnificent! If you have claustrophobia then I do not recommend taking the tour because the little train that takes you deep, down under might cause people to freak out. I personally loved the train ride! You can lick the walls to taste the salt and you get a free souvenir at the end of the tour. There are also slides that were made out of old chutes for transporting salt and those were really great! There are also three pictures you can buy at the end of the tour that at 12 Euros. 5 Euros per piece if you want them separately. The only thing I didn't like was that you couldn't take pictures or video but that might be just for the safety of your belongings due to the temperature under ground. I 100% believe that if you are interested in the slightest bit in any of this you should not hesitate to take the tour!
The people who are helping in the information box are all really great people too! They can help you with any questions you have there as well.

Very well organized the Salt Mines are a unique experience and the Sound of Music takes you to the beautiful countryside.
I strongly recommend because it's a wonderful way of spending the day.

The guide for the Sound of Music tour was simply amazing--he was charming, witty, knowledgeable and the scenery was great.
Salt mine tour was not so interesting. Guide was so-so, but tried hard at being witty.
Nevertheless, the morning Sound of Music tour more than made up, for the tour to merit a 5 star.
This a very word trip. We like this trip very much. We thoroughly enjoed the salt mines and we learnt a lot from this tour. All the lakes were so maanificent that we felt we copuld have stayed in Salzburg longer.
