It was good fun with lots of interesting facts about the film. Plenty of time to look at the scenery too.

We had a funny guide. The bus was good.

The tour was great but it was sort of a let down at the same time due to the lack of access to the areas used in the film. Our guide was great and funny and had a lot of information about the movie and the story behind the Von traps and their lives. If you want to see the sights and get some history this is great but if you are dead set on seeing the lake from the back of the house, dancing around the ballroom, going into the monestary etc it's not possible on this tour.

A little corny but very informative. The tour showed both the city and the country at the same time for one price. We enjoyed it and our guide was great.

The tour guide, the elderly gentleman was amazing in terms of know-how and humour. But, it was a pity we were not able to go into certain places...

Even if you are not a lover of the Sound of Music this is worth doing. You see a lot of the Alps and stay at a lovely little town where you can sample yet another apple strudel. Tour operator was very good and informative.

This tour was a lot of fun and they showed you a bit of the video so you could see the bits of the movie locations that you visited. Well worth it.

It was nostalgic to see where the movie was filmed. The tour bus played the soundtrack throughout the tour which was fun.

The best part of the whole tour was our tour guide. He was witty and knowledgeable about the movie. We had the most fun on this particular tour over others we took on this trip.

There were many people signed up for the tour, and lining up was very chaotic. After the tour began, our guide was absolutely wonderful. We caught this on an extremely hot day, and a bus with a little better A/C would have been appreciated.

On the day of the tour, the coach had to travel the route in the reverse direction because of a particular carnival being held in the city centre. Although this reverse direction of the tour was disappointing to the tour guide, he made the trip very interesting and enjoyable. It would have been fantastic the right way round. We felt that we missed a few sights and views by going the wrong way round.

The tour was excellent, and the informative commentary provided great insight into the making of "The Sound of Music". You do not have to be a SOM lover to appreciate the tour, as it takes you to and through beautiful scenery used as filming locations. This was a great way to see Salzburg and the hinterland.

My first impression when I got to the meeting point was that I had made a mistake. More than 90 of the tourists on the bus was old people. It would be another boring tour, I thought. However, I was totally wrong. It was very enjoyable and worth doing. The tour guide appeared in old-fashioned dress just like that worn in the movie, with a big smile on her face. She had great attitude toward the tour sites as well as her job. She was funny and made the trip loads of fun. Along the way, she told stories about the movie, scenes, gossip, and the like. She sang songs and others started to join her. It was very fun trip. The tour sites were nice and beautiful, as expected. The lakes were absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the time was too limited for us to enjoy the view and spend time at those sites. We had quite a short stay at almost every stop.

The guide was fantastic; however, Salzburg is more than the sights this tour shows.
