Be prepared for a good hike up the hill on the side of the mountain. This is NOT for the slow and elderly who can't walk well. Also, once inside the cave be prepared for another 1400 steps. It was many older people who did manage it, though, so give it a go. The caves are just amazing and they show them in a very natural way. It was an absolutely great trip.

It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Yes, it's cold and a very long walk up, but it's worth every minute up the mountain. The tour guide basically gave us all the info the ice cave guide gave us, but it was still very interesting anyway. Worth the money, but remember the entrance fee is not included in the Viator price.

This was one of the most incredible tours I have ever been on. I want to thank the tour operator for being so well organized and having such enthusiastic tour guides!

One of the best tours I have ever done. The tour guide was fantastic.

Incredible! There was a lot of climbing the trail before you get there but well worth it! Take a warm jacket and gloves. The air inside is cold and the railings are metal. There are many breaks to see the wondrous natural ice sculptures. Cameras don't work too well in the darkness though - buy the postcards!

The caves were breathtaking and very beautiful! Be ready for a bit of a hike to get to the cave though. The views along the way were well worth it. Make sure to bring gloves as the temperature in the cave drops and you will need to hang on to cold handrails while hiking through the cave.

I went with my brother 24, mum5 4 & Dad 56 with a sedentary job and smoker. Dad found it challenging and by half-way up the walk wasn't sure he'd make it. But at the entrance to the cave there was enough waiting time for him to get his energy back. There are 2 lots of 15 - 20mins uphill walking not steep but constant with a cable-car ride in between to get to the cave. Inside there are 700 steps up and 700 down, but it didn't feel like it because you don't do them all at once. It's fairly dark and the lamps are not that great, the reflectors were rusted so not as effective. But it was ok, just be careful on steps. The guide makes extra light when you are in special places and that looks fantastic. The cave is vast and impressive, like nothing I've ever seen before so I really enjoyed it. I was worried I might feel claustrophobic but I didn't because it is mostly all large spaces. We enjoyed this tour, even Dad was really glad he did it. If you aren't sure if you're fit enough you can still try, it's all one path to the cave, so if you had to stop you'd just wait on the same that path. Do bring gloves, the railings are metal.

Very nice trip but you need to warm up your feet prior going up the mountain.

A unique tour, well worth taking. However, be prepared for some very serious uphill walking in order to reach the mouth of the cave. This is a strenuous tour and I believe it should be better explained in the tour package. Inside the cave you are faced with seven hundred steps up and then seven hundred steps down. Do not forget to bring gloves, the railings inside the cave are icy cold.

This trip was unique as it is claimed to be the largest ice cave in the world. It is quite an adventure as they do not have electric lighting so every other person has to carry a carbide lamp. The cave is situated fairly high and up and requires reasonable fitness to cope with the two lots of uphill walking each of about 20 minutes and 700 steps inside the cave. Do not underestimate this as about 6 people on our bus never made it to the cave. As an ex-caver I was surprised at the lack of calcite formations in the cave and would have appreciated a little more information on how the cave was formed.

Make sure you bring tons of warm clothes! Also, the entrance fee is not included in the price, so make sure you bring 15 Euros per person. Otherwise, the tour was completely beautiful and unique. One of my favorites!
