Wonderful tour. My kids really into it. Rob was best guide ever. He shared interesting history of La Jolla beach and sharing his love of sea life ,just under our boat. Stories of kelp beds are great.
We had a wonderful time and Graham the guide from Ireland couldn't have been more fun. Super easy tandem kayak, beautiful day and kits of critters to see. The inside of the cave was cool. Historically fascinating piece of LA Jolla.
What a gorgeous adventure for this first time kayaker! Our guide Nick was wonderful. Hike Bike Kayak takes small groups out as compared to other companies that were in the water at the same time as us. Our tour was much more personal and always within earshot of the guide
Robb the tour guide was great!! My fiancé and I had a great time. It wasn't only fun but educational. Highly recommend it.
highly recommend this tour great fun, very informative and loads of wild life you can get up close to the Sea Lions.
The tour was a lot of fun. Hike bike kayak was a definite winner!
Our guide, Brian was excellent! My boyfriend and I are land-locked city kids and neither of us had any experience with kayaking. But, our guide was patient and informative, which made our excursion fantastic! I would recommend taking some Dramamine beforehand. I don't usually get sea sick, but I was not feeling well towards the end of the tour.
Lovely beach side town, kayaking tour had great sightseeing and our guide Paul filled us in on the local marine wildlife and made the tour very enjoyable. Would recommend to all even if you haven't been kayaking before.
This was a great tour. The staff was friendly, the equipment well maintained and comfortable, and the guide was knowledgeable and fun.
Joe our guide was awesome and this tour was amazing! We never kayaked before and after quick tutorial and safety gear, we were off in the ocean. We did the tandem which was easier to row. Visited some caves and saw sea lions up close. After tour was over, we spent day on beach.
If you love nature this tour is definitely a must! Although the weather could have been better our tour was amazing. We got close up to the see lions and also got to go into the cave since it was fortunately only cloudy and cold, not windy. I also appreciated that the tour was not only going to the caves and back, but that our guide provided us with information about the sea life and the La Jolla area.
We were out in California for only 2 days and this tour was time well spent. Our guide was laid back and knowledgeable. We encountered some Sea Lions swimming around us...along with some Leopard sharks (not aggressive) swimming below us! They said that the tour may run long but ours actually was a little shorter than the allotted time....I think it depends on eager your group is on staying out in the water.
This was a wonderful experience. My husband was in heaven! So much to see and learn. This is a good trip for anyone who loves the ocean! The tour guides were amazing. Awesome!
I decided to surprise my husband with a Kayak Tour for our anniversary. I was so glad I decided to to try this out! We had so much fun! I recommend to anyone who hasn't tried this and is interested to do so. Trust me you won't regret it!
Great experience! Not only was the tour awesome, seeing the caves and watching sea lions, but Josh shared his knowledge of the sea and sea life. And he's such a professional! Definitely recommend this trip!
Great place to be.. I really have a nice time . Nice instructor infact with his 10 mins turorial on how to kayak. I didnt even feel like i was new. I felt like a professional
The sea caves kayak tour was my favorite day of the entire vacation. My husband and I did the morning tour so we could have the remainder of the day to hang out at the beach or enjoy the town of La Jolla. The weather literally could not have been better. I get motion sick very easily but decided to risk it anyway and so glad I did. Our tour guide
"Zeik" was incredible. Just a cool, very knowledgeable easy going guy and definitely made the 2 hours the best it could possibly be. We wore our swim suits, the life vests provided by our hosts, sun glasses, sun screen and that was all that was needed. A waterproof camera would have been great but we forgot ours. They do sell them in the shop though. We would do this again in a heart beat. For transportation we became "Car 2 Go" members which was another great decision. If you are staying in San Diego for any amount of time, put this activity on your calendar! Also, the tandem kayak was a great choice.
The kayak and snorkeling package was the best part of our trip. I wish we had done it twice. 2 days. They were helpful and great.
It was a lot of fun. I would definately do it again, Our guide was wonderful.
We loved this tour. The guides that took us out were very conscious of everyone's safety and made sure that we were all where we were supposed to be and within their sight at all times. The conditions were good in that we were able to enter a cave and it was a great experience. The water was warm and beautiful and the backdrop of La Jolla beach was and the cliffs were beautiful.
This was a great tour! It was very fun, informative and relaxing. I would definitely recommend it for a family or even a single person.
A few words of warning about this tour: Firstly, entrance into the caves is dependent on the weather conditions. We did not get to go in the caves, and our guide said that they don't go in very often in the winter. Also, you WILL get wet, and I mean thoroughly wet, so be prepared and rent a wetsuit, or bring a change of clothes. That being said, we really had a nice time kayaking in the Pacific! I rented a tandem kayak with my 11 yr old son and even though we are both amateurs, we managed to keep up with the group and launch and land through the surf with no problems. The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. This is a good tour for anybody - you don't need to be an expert kayaker. Without going in the caves, there wasn't much else to do, but we saw sea lions and went to the kelp forest (not that you could see it) and it was still a worthwhile experience.
