Half-Day Guided Tour of La Jolla and Torrey Pines from San Diego
Visit Mount Soledad and take a walk across the hilltop while you learn about the area and the Latin Cross, a one-of-a-kind veterans memorial honoring veterans from the American Revolutionary War all the way up to today's conflicts. Mount Soledad is also where famed children's author Dr Seuss lived. On clear days, the views over the Pacific Ocean and to the mountains stretch as far as 100 miles (161 km).
Then stop at Torrey Pines Golf Course, site of the annual Farmers Insurance Open golf tournament on the PGA tour. Here you'll have time to enjoy the scenic setting, take photos, see the US Open Trophy and visit the Pro Shop. Nearby Torrey Pines Gliderport is a favorite of local paragliders. Watch as these daring adventurers jump off 300-foot (91-meter) ocean cliffs and ride the coastal winds high above the surfers at Black's Beach.
In La Jolla, you'll have the option to join your guide for a walking tour to see and learn about the local wildlife like seals, sea lions, pelicans and cormorants. Hear about the pioneering women who shaped La Jolla into the wonderful beach community it has become today. If you’d rather explore on your own, that’s no problem; just let your guide know and you’ll be free to wander. Stop for lunch at one of La Jolla's local eateries (lunch not included), or browse the boutiques.
This sightseeing tour also takes you through La Jolla Shores, Windansea Beach, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach and Mission Bay before returning to downtown San Diego.

Tim the tour guide was awesome. We walked along the coast as part of this tour and Tim talked about the history here and of course all the wild life we were watching and even the flowers and trees were walking by. It was a fantastic day!
