Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the San Diego to Los Angeles / Anaheim Shuttle Service. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
Though the normal self drive from San Diego to Los Angeles is less than 2 hours, by taking this shuttle service, took us 6 hours. Mostly on the congested highways - Friday 10/3). The driver is very responsible, (forgot to ask for his name). Luxbus office even call my husband cell phone to make sure our drop off place in Hollywood. We had stop at LegoLand (picking up tourist for their one day tour) back to Anaheim hotel. We have to switch to another coach from Anaheim to Los Angeles. We enjoyed this transfer although we reach our hotel in Hollywood by 9pm.
The trip was a shuttle from San Diego to Anahiem our driver was Harold and he made the trip very entertaining, we enjoyed the trip
The driver, I believe his name was Mark, very courteous and helped me get to my destination even though I had booked my trip for the wrong week. Was a pleasant trip.
Our driver was courteous and very helpful. I forgot to get his name. It was an 11:30am dec. 15 pick up at King's Inn, Hotel Circle, San Diego.
Picked up on time from San Diego. Reception were very helpful when confirming booking and pick up point. Had 2 drivers - one from San Diego to Anaheim then from Anaheim to LAX. Drivers were courteous and helpful. Would definately use this service again.
Very relaxing, loved the food where we stopped for a break in Anaheim.
Bus was 45 minutes late picking us up. Any later and we would have missed our flight. If the problem is travellers at other hotels not being on time, they need to be left behind. You can't make a busload of people who manage to follow instructions late for the handful that can't or won't be on time. Still the most straightforward way to get from San Diego to LAX, but it we'd missed our flight I would not have been happy......
Very friendly driver, spacious bus, door-to-door service. Couldn't fault it.
One suitcase badly smashed in transit, and as we still had to travel to London Heathrow England this made it very difficult having to take this case as cabin baggage.
We were not taken to LA Airport, but instead had to get a taxi from the Hilton Hotel casting $15. I was not told this when I made the booking with Charlene on14 Feb 13.
As far as the trip goes, seats were comfortable, bus clean, and on time. We would use you again, but thought you should know what happened.
The idea and convenience is great, my recommendation if you choose this is do not give yourself a tight time frame on arrival times and you will find this a great way to travel hassle free.
Good trip to LA, although transport turned up about 45mins late so we had to wait around.
We are completely dissatisfied with services offered by Lux Bus America...
-we had been promised door to door service but had to pay a taxi from Best Western Bayside to Holiday Inn.
-driver wasn't interested in passengers and never talked to us
-on arrival in Anaheim we finished off in a dark underground parking lot and did not feel secure. We were told by the driver of a small van to get our luggage out from the larger bus and come with her without any explanation. We were crammed into a small bus and were not told where we were going. The driver decided to act like a guide and never stopped talking but we could not hear in the back seat since there is no loudspeaker system. Driver wanted to leave us at another hotel in Hollywood and we had to argue to get dropped off at Best Western Hollywood Plaza. We feel that we should be reimbursed as the service was in no way what had been advertised.
