Jump on the ferry to discover where Al Capone and other notorious inmates were incarcerated at Alcatraz, one of San Francisco's most popular attractions. You can take an audio walking tour of the infamous "Cell Block", and hear stories from "The Rock" as told by former inmates of the historic federal penitentiary.
In the afternoon, the Golden Gate Seaplane Tour flies you directly out to the Pacific Coast, and south to the Golden Gate Bridge. After flying over the bridge, you'll continue your flight over the Financial District and downtown San Francisco, Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Fly north to Alcatraz, around Angel Island, and along the picturesque towns of Tiburon, Belvedere before landing in Sausalito.
Seaplanes are ideal for sightseeing and photography. Their high wings, large windows and untinted glass give panoramic views and unrivaled photo opportunities. Experienced pilots will point out landmarks as you cruise by at a leisurely pace.
The flight lasts approximately 25 minutes, and offers a great balance of sights from Marin to San Francisco. You can choose to make your own way to Sausalito for departure, or make use of the complimentary shuttle bus from Pier 39.
