The Alcatraz tour plus Muir Woods, Giant Redwoods and Sausalito Day trip was everything I expected and more. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. The driver was great and very informative.

Great day and plenty of time can be spent exploring the woods and Sausalito. Alcatraz has a very good self guided audio tour. Only negative was the wrong information was given as to where and when the hotel drop off would be from and therefore we had to make our own way back to the hotel at our expense! Don't let this put you off as apart from this it was a great day.

Excellent tour and very interesting. Will do again when visiting San Fran. Just wish the weather was a little warmer.

This was FANTASTIC!!! Put it on your must-do-tour list! It was a great day with lots of variety in the day from the "one-with-nature" experience to the cold-hard-cell of Alcatraz.

This yjtrr element tour was better than we expeced. At Alcatraz, the headset tour guidance was extremely well done. The effect of being in this place is palpable. You come away with a totally different attitude than you had when you went in. . Muir woods was awesome. No place quite like it on earth. Sausalito portion was just right with an opportunity to stretch the legs and have a coffee while absorbing the views and fine weather. Highly recommend this combination.

The shuttle company's procedure for getting the tours was not handled professionally. They tried to cheat me out of the last portion of the day's trip which was Alcatraz.. The undue stress was so unneccessary. But the tours were magnificient.

Due to a timing error, we missed the trip to Muir Woods, Sausalito and Giant Redwoods. The agent at the office was wonderful, kept our Alcatraz tour intact and got our group onto a Hop On, Hop Off tour in the morning- Great fun

Even though all the activities/places covered during this day trip deserve 5 stars, I would've liked to trade the Sausalito portion of this trip to spend more time in Alcatraz and Muir Woods. If you like to absorb a place a truly learn about it, then those two places alone deserve 3-4 hours each at the minimum. I liked Sausalito but not as part of this trip.

Muir Woods was beautiful and awesome, complete with a very accessible hiking trail for all ages and ability levels. Sausalito is basically just a lunch stop. Alcatraz actually far exceeded my expectations. The National Park service has done a great job here - audio tours are provided to everyone, and give you a chance to hear the voices of actual guards and former prisoners as you are guided through the cell blocks. The view of the city is amazing - definitely worth the trip across the water for the photo op. I knew very little of the history of the island besides the prison - the film when first arriving on the island is worth watching. Perspective from children of the former prison guards about what their lives were like living on the island, history on the connection of Native Americans to Alcatraz and more. Don't let the talk of "four very steep hills" scare you off. The talk had me concerned, but I actually made it up the hills pretty easily (and there is a tram available for those who really need help). I went on the Alcatraz portion of the tour mainly to please traveling companions who really wanted to go; I wasn't all that excited about seeing a prison. I ended up pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed our time on the island.

Great tour! Nice to have you pick us up at the hotel. Driver was very informative and entertaining. The sights were wonderful, wish we could have stayed in Sausalito a bit longer. Only had 1 hour to look, eat, and shop.
