The San Francisco tour was very good; however, we were unable to go into Golden Gate Park as it was closed for the day. This made it a little difficult for the guide as he had to fill in time. The Alcatraz part of the trip was wonderful, and we would highly recommend this to anyone - we only had the afternoon but could easily have spent all day there.

Our tour started with the sites of San Francisco, and it was fantastic. First of all, a million kudos to our bus driver. He was awesome and provided great information on the city and sites. Too bad there isn't an all trip bus tour, like that to see some of the mansions in Pacific Heights and some other areas where some stars and officials live. The tour to Alcatraz was just as interesting, and sufficient time was provided to really take your time to see it all. The package was well priced and worth every penny. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

I booked this tour for a 50th birthday treat, whilst on holiday and it didn't disappoint. The tour starts with a photo opportunity at the Golden Gate Bridge, where we had time to walk part of the bridge. We had other stops for photographs and a short break for refreshments. The guide was great, he made the trip interesting and was very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Alcatraz, the boat trip was lovely and once on the island we could spend as long as we wanted until the last boat. The headset audio tour, really brought the guards' and prisoners' experiences to life. We had the option to be picked up again later and were dropped off at Union square as requested. During the whole day we had ample time to feel relaxed and unhurried. This was an excellent tour and I thoroughly recommend it.

My boyfriend and I absolutely enjoyed the tour. We agreed that it was the ultimate highlight of our short trip. We were able to see parts of San Francisco that we wouldn't normally see on our own.

We thoroughly enjoyed it. Tour guides were very informative, we had a comfortable coach for the city tour, and Alcatraz was fantastic, especially the audio tour.

We had never been to San Francisco before, and we are so glad we chose Viator Tours. It was wonderful! The people who helped us check-in at the desk were great, and our driver/guide was super. He was from San Francisco and talked about and showed us many, many places. I would highly recommend this company and this tour for everyone! Thanks again for a wonderful experience that we will always cherish!

We learned a lot from this tour. The tour guide was very informative and helpful. We learned not only about the history of San Francisco, but about the diversity of the neighborhoods. Also, Alcatraz was a unique experience. The two tours together were time well spent!

Great overview of the city and trip to Alcatraz. Informative and humorous tour guide. However, bus was not at designated pickup place at end of trip, so we had to get a cab back to the hotel.
