It's a great way to see the city. The walking tours were good. Don't miss going to Sausalito with Big Bus. Then, for 11 5.50 Senior take the ferry back to Fisherman's Wharf. I went to Sausalito with both the greyhound and big bus tours. The greyhound tour to Muir Woods and Sausalito was the worst tour I have ever taken. Big Bus was far superior.
I enjoyed the Big Bus Ride with Kristina spelled with a K as she said Evangelina personable, funny and entertaining guide who was very informative and delightful. I would definitely go back to her tour.
It was about a month ago I went on this trip and I thought it was great! I stayed on the bus for the full two and-a-half hours and our tour guide was full of information! I live in Los Angeles and have always seen these buses so I decided to give it a try. Best decision I've ever made : I'm planning on doing one in Hollywood soon because of the experience I had here!
As ever these tours are a brilliant way to get yourself orientated with a City and the Tour Guides on the bus are always so full of information and tales - just love it! To do the whole circuit it took roughly 3 hours and you get to see everything that you want - going across the Golden Gate Bridge was a little windy so some kind of jacket with a hood on is always useful!
This was a great way to get around on my own to see everything, with the option to get off and spend time exploring places as desired. Remember to take another layer as the wind can be cold even in summer, especially over the bridge in the open top. I enjoyed the Night Tour and Sausalito Trolley Bus add-ons as well and were worth the extra, although better notification of the connection times for the Sausalito tour on the notices/maps or on the ticket would have saved me a lot of wasted time, so best to check these out carefully. I would recommend this tour to others.
We had the 48 hour pass, which included a night tour, 3 walking tours, 7D experience, Madame Toussad and Sausalito. I would recommend this to anyone. It was a wonderful way to see the city and hear about the history.
It was a wonderful way to get around the city and see all the important sites without having a deadline to be from one place to another.
Well, 48 hours is not enough time to get off the bus and see all the attractions. But what a blast! We were enjoying the tour up-top so much, it was hard to get off the first day. The tour guides were just awesome, full of fun history and stories. The night trip wasn't much of a night trip. It doesn't get dark early enough in the summer, but it was fun. Definitely the best way to see the whole city in a half day round trip. Very worth it.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME LEARNED THINGS ABOUT SAN FRANCISCO WE NEVER KNEW BEFORE AND WE LIVE JUST 30 MILES AWAY. IT WAS A GREAT WAY TO SEE THE SIGHTS
A must do when visiting San Francisco. You get to see just about everything, including the Golden Gate bridge. Very awesome.
Was exactly as expected. Saw all the major sites. Hopped off and enjoyed the ones we wanted to. Lots of stops and easy access.
Really good. Loved Christina. She was a great tour guide. Definitely recommend this tour. It takes you almost everywhere you need to go.
We had an excellent time on the San Francisco Hop-On Hop-Off Tour. We boarded at Fisherman's Wharf and got off at many of the stops. it's a great way to get around San Francisco and not worry about parking or time. You get off where you want for as long as you want. We never waited more than 10 minutes for the next bus. The buses do tend to get crowded late in the day. This is the 2nd city I've taken a hop on hop off bus and I recommend it to all of my friends.
The commentary cannot be heard clearly sometimes because of the bus engine when you have a seat at the top back of the bus. The night tour in summer will not show you the city lights as the sun does not set till 8.30 pm. If you wish to hop off, some worthwhile sites need a bit of walking on steep roads. It is not convenient if you want to walk the GG bridge. The bus stops on the Marin County side and it would be difficult and tedious if you want to hop back on. Unless you have a two day pass, you have to take the Sausalito bus to the other side and then wait for the red line bus to go back on line. Otherwise, you have to pay for a MUNI bus to take you back to base. You have a long steep walk from the Lombard Street stop to see the Crooked Street.
Otherwise it is a fantastic way to see SF if you have limited time. For the price you pay, it is all worth it. The stops are in places of interest. I would do it again in Los Angeles.
Very informative lots of facts and information. Night Bus Tour was great fun with Arturo!
Liked the tour. However, wish they would extend the timings, either start earlier than 9am or end later than 6pm. Since San Francisco usually has traffic, we felt that we needed to rush at a certain stop so that we can catch the next bus and not miss the whole tour. Overall, highly recommended.
Staff amazing and full of energy!!! bus took you everywhere you possibly could think of,no trip to San Francisco is complete without this tour
