The trip was great. Efram was a wonderful tour guide, full of information and very pleasant. The only problem we had was with an irate abusive man who sat behind us and complained throughout the trip. He even confronted Efran at the Aquarium. He was right into Efrans face yelling at him saying he should learn how to speak English and there is so much history along the way he could have told us about. This man was just so rude and abusive and we felt very bad for Efran who had to take all this abuse. He even complained that the trip was so long, if he had read the info on the trip it said it was 11 hours, so he couldn't wait to get off the bus and we all said thank God when he decided to get off.
This part of the coast of California is both picturesque and beautiful. The town of Monterey is very quaint and we enjoyed the most delicious lunch at the seafood restuarant on the jetty. There is also the most beautiful gift and specialty food shop offering free olive oil tastings.
Our driver was fun and entertaining and shared lots of tips on places to visit and eat in both Monterey and Carmel.
There is a small cafe in Carmel that has a window display of cakes that are to die and taste as good as they looked.
All in all it was a great day. people on our tour took the opportunity to travel to Monterey on one day, stay the night, the pick up the next day's tour going onto Carmel and back to San Francisco. Great idea and had I known it was possible would definitely consider doing this. Gives me abrwason to go back.
The tour, driver/guide were excellent. I would recommend this trip to everyone.
This full day excursion from San Francisco to Monterey, Carmel and 17-Mile Drive was excellent value and a highlight of my visit to California. Our tour guide, Kenneth, was very friendly and his commentary was very entertaining and informative. He was also an excellent driver. The scenery along the coastline was beautiful. There were stops along the way to take photos, visit shops and restrooms, and to buy food, drinks, etc. I visited the Aquarium in Monterey for about an hour and then for the remaining hour I enjoyed fish and chips on the sandy beach and then did some souvenir shopping. I also really enjoyed seeing Carmel and the 17-mile drive. The trip back to San Francisco as the sun went down was relaxing. It was interesting, too, as we passed by headquarters of some of the famous technology companies like Microsoft, Xerox and Google. I would definitely recommend this full day tour. We arrived back in San Francisco about 8:30pm and I had dinner near Union Square. A great day. Thanks, Kenneth!
Well worth the money. Great time at the aquarium well worth the visit. The driver was excellent with lots of information about the surrounding area.
Excellent trip, just a shame we couldn't have stayed longer in Carmel, such a beautiful little town.
Excellent guide, gorgeous scenery. This trip was so fun and so easy. The driver was excellent and he understood where we would most need to take a break and where some of the most beautiful photo ops would be. Loved every minute of it. woth every penny.
Our bus driver Kenneth was very knowledgeable. He made the ride entertaining with the tidbits and facts he shared about each place we went.
A very informative driver, (Kenneth) gave us a tour and information about each place we stopped at. I highly recommend it.
was a great day, our driver Kenneth was marvellous and made the day, full of info and insights into life in Carmel and Monterey. A real gentleman. Eye opening, totally different to what I expected the country in between, the coast is quite desolate compared to Australia coast with no houses along the ocean front due to it being lava, the fault line. Pebble Beach the place of the rich and famous was beautiful and the Golf Club allowed us inside the club lounge, stunning! and were very welcoming. Monterey touristy but good seafront lunch places, Carmel so beautiful, expensive and the home of the rich and famous.
