Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and pointed out lots of interesting things along the way. The woods were beautiful, peaceful and quite. I do wish we had more time there but we were able to take lots of great pictures while we were there. Sausalito was a really cute little town with mostly shopping and restaurants. We opted for the ferry boat ride back to San Francisco so that was really nice too. A good day and well worth the price we paid
Wonderful tour, driver very knowledgable and entertaining, nice option in Sausalito to take ferry back. Only negative - at start of tour when given ticket it would be nice if they gave you your bus number as it was a little confusing as to which bus to get on, other than that it was a very well run tour.
This was a wonderful trip! We really enjoyed having lunch in Sausalito and seeing the redwoods. Our bus driver, Brian, was wonderful also. He had a world of knowledge he shared with us. Just wish we had more time in Sausalito. There was only time for a quick lunch, the lines were so long it took the full time for this, no shopping due to only an hour there.
Great tour. Our tour guide, Aaron was also a great guide. Well organized, hassle free.
We enjoyed the tour very much and would have done a whole day trip to enjoy it even more but time was against us. The woods were really magnificent and the redwoods very special. Sausalito was the highlight for us from the views across the harbour to the large number of shops to browse - loved the Native American jewellery, so beautiful. Could have done without Brian doing the Aussie, Aussie, Aussie thing and talking non-stop but they were the only minuses and small ones at that. This was an excellent tour which was topped off with a stop to take photos of the Golden Gate bridge in brilliant sunshine.
We loved our tour and our driver was terrific! We would have spent the whole day on that trip. If we are able to return to San Francisco and take the trip again to Muir Woods and Sausalito, perhaps you will have a full day trip!
The Muir Woods/Sausalito Tour offered the perfect amount of time in each place. We were able to visit both the National Monument and Sausalito and enjoy all each offered. Our tour guide was informative, entertaining, and amenable to requests. Oh, and I loved that the bus dropped us off at our hotel afterwards.
Absolutely beautiful!!!! Loved the tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito. Highly recommend this tour and would go again.
I am not easily impressed but Muir Woods took my breath away. This is must-see.
This was a perfect half-day tour. As we were riding up the very, very twisty road, I was glad I didn't decide to rent a car for a day trip! Our driver, Curt, was very nice and a good driver! We had just enough time in Muir Woods for me. If you are a real hiker or want to know everything about the forest, then this wouldn't be for you... not enough time... but for my companion and me, it was just right. Then we had plenty of time to shop in Sausalito and even time to stop for some close shots of the Golden Gate Bridge. Many in our group were continuing their tours and going to Alcatraz, but I'm glad we did it on two separate days.
Great tour driver and the Redwoods at Muir Woods are majestic. Sausolito is nice, and we recommend taking the ferry($10) back to either Fishermans Wharf or the Ferry Bldg.
Great experience - the tour guide Adolfo was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He also navigated the narrow winding roads extremely well and was quite the comedian. Loved the redwoods and Sausalito. Thanks for a great experience.
