From the time we stepped on the ferry at pier 1, until we stepped off the ferry at pier 39, we were treated as if we were the only two on the tour. Excellent participation by each staff member! They were so informative with history events as we travelled to and from Napa and, were also professional in their serving capabilities in the meal cars. Excellent trip and would deffinately take it again and would suggest it to friends when they are planning to go west. Thank you!
A great trip..... winery was tasty, food on the train even more tastier. Services on the train was attentive and above expectations.
It was great; very satisfied with the Tour, food on Wine Train was excellent !
Had a wonderful time. The staff are wonderful and friendly, really know their stuff. I went with 2 friends and we had a great time. The train ride was nice and relaxing and the food was just SO AMAZING!! We also had a wine tour with tasting at the Grgich Hills estate in Napa. A great option to add if you are interested in how the wine is made and the history of the estate. The estate was very beautiful. Overall, we had a really wonderful day. If you have or haven’t been to Napa before, this is a must do option. The highlight of course was the train and it was more than I expected!
Amazing experience. The train, the food, the service and the scenery were great. The tour of the winery (Domaine Chandon) was very enjoyable and I'm not even a wine connoisseur.
Awesome tour. Enjoyed the ferry ride to Vallejo. the tour or Raymond James winery was lovely. the gardens were beautiful. Got much info. Wine tasting very enjoyable. Loved viewing the inside of the winery also. Relaxed atmosphere. The antique train gourmet food and service was great. Everyone was very accommodating. Totally recommend this unique and fun experience.
Fun tour with friendly train staff. I love being able to ride in a vintage train, and think all travel should be like that from now on! Grgich Hills was a good stop too, with plenty of wine tastings and an informative guide.
GREAT WAY TO SEE WINE COUNTRY.TRAIN RIDE WAS COMFORTABLE AND FOOD WAS DELICIOUS.ALL PERSONNEL WERE HELPFUL AND COURTEOUS.GREAT TRTIP
We had a fabulous time! The food was delicious. We would do this again and visit another vineyard.
Was a wonderful experience. The only problem was having to wait too long for the shuttle and ferry on the way back to San Francisco. Other than that, we would highly recommend the trip.
Very enjoyable. Train ride was beautiful and service was excellent!
This tour was fabulous. The instructions about how to join the tour were clear and easy to follow. Once on the train, the selection and quality of food was excellent, as was the service. We visited two wineries and whilst the first (Raymond) was not to my taste, it was still an interesting winery and the guide gave good information. The second, ZD was very good and the wines were excellent. Transportation to and from the ferry was comfortable, although the guide had a very irritating voice. largely because she was yelling to be heard (literally). A microphone should have been used. Other than that, I would highly recommend this tour.
I think your people who sell it don not have all the facts, I was told we would see several vineyards, only saw 1.
I was told that I would be back by 2 pm, got back at 6pm, and I was hosting a dinner at 6;30...
I ebjoyed the personal tour guide at Raymond and the wines and the trin was great, just wish we had all the facts in hand first.
