This trip was great .
Napa valley is beautiful
It was definitely worth the money
Dette er en fantastisk oplevelse for folk der elsker mad og vin....det kan ikke gøres bedre samt fantastisk smuk togtur....
This is the second time we've used Viator, the first was in Paris and now the Napa Valley Wine Train. As usual all the connections were on time, from the Ferry crossing from San Francisco to Vallejo to the limo bus from Vallejo to Napa. The Wine train was amazing. We enjoyed seeing the various wineries from our luxury lounge car and enjoying our appetizers while looking out of our window. The meal in the Dining car was first class and when it was over we had many beautiful memories. Viator never disappoints. Looking forward to our next trip!
Another great and well organised tour by you. Was a great day and the country side and the gourmet lunch topped it off. Highly recommend this tour.
We loved the ferry ride. The train was awesome and the food delicious!
The ferry ride to the train was very nice and relaxing. The coach limo picked us up at the ferry and took us to the train. The driver was great. Once at the train the journey started.
The cars were very stylish and comfortable. The food was amazing as well as the service. The view from the train was amazing.
I reallyenjoyed the tour. I thaought the train was beautiful the food excellent, but the service was superb. I felt well tke care of and pampered. Thanks
Enjoyed the trip on the train and lunch. It is a long day.
This excursion was thouroughly enjoyed by my wife. I was a bit disappointed because I was under the impression that the train would stop and allow shopping and visitation to some of the smaller less known vineyards in the Valley but it didn't. The ride to Napa from Valejo was extremely comfortable. The food, wine and service onboard the train were exceptional. The only disappointment was not being able to visit Yountville and any of the vineyards based upon our tour package. Though we went to Valejo by bus our return was via the ferry which both of us enjoyed.
I booked this trip with my three children (12, 14, and 16). We enjoyed the ferry trip from San Francisco and the novelty of boarding and dining on this beautifully fitted and furnished train. However, the entire journey is well over 3 hours and retraces the original route on the way back (at about 20 mph). The countryside is spectacular when you eventually get into it (early stages are built up and you follow alongside a busy road). Overall satisfied but probably wouldn't recommend with children.
I booked this as a surprise for my husband's 50. Having been on many tours from different companies, I found this company to lack clear instructions for directions, parking and where to go. We we arrived in Napa at the wine train company we sat around for almost an hour before boarding the train.
We were encouraged to roam the train while on board but coming back to our seats our meal had been cleared and we hadn't even finished our lunch. They had a second seating to set up for. Dessert was then given in another car. I would have liked to linger over our meal and expensive wine. The food was good and staff friendly.
It was unclear whether you got off the train and I was under the impression there was wine tasting. There was, but you had to pay to taste! The train turns around so you never get off.
We returned to Napa and had about an hour and half to roam the town and returned to get our shuttle back on the designated time but it hadn't arrived. We again sat around for over an hour and ended up late to the ferry back to San Francisco and waited another 45 minutes for the next ferry. I had booked another tour that evening having been informed clearly when I booked that yes, I would be back in time to do so. We were so late getting back I was really disappointed in the lack of info, scheduling and lack of accountability with this tour company. They sort of hand you off to everyone else and take your money.
Not impressed with Viator! I won't book a tour with them again. Thankfully the second tour company had a direct number where I could let them know we were going to miss it and they gave us a gift certificate to return at another date but there was no one to contact with Viator. Book a tour if you want something like this directly and save the hassle with a go between absent middle man.
