I and my wife took this trip with Viator and we loved it. Gordy, the driver (Hope I have his name right) was fantastic. Very knowledgable and helpful. We learnt a lot from him on this trip. The wineries visited on this trip were very good and offered a great experience with the exception of one. "Nicholson Ranch Winery".
I think one of the owners who gave the tour of this winery, Deepak Gulrajani was extremely rude, with a very arrogant attitude. My wife and I were so offended with his behaviour that we did not even sample his wine, even though we had already paid for it. We felt that Deepak singled us out in the group and for this atrocious behavior. My guess is that we are Asian Indians and he has some dislike for people with Indian origin. I think he forgot to look in the mirror in the morning..Cause he is an Asian Indian as well. What hypocrisy! He might not have meant it but in our minds we felt were subjected to racism. I hope he is a better man for his sake..
The tour was very well planned. The bus was very comfortable with a very knowledgeable driver who also acted as the tour guide. He was a friendly and jolly person. The wineries were well chosen and the tasting sessions were very professionally conducted. A tour worth cherishing.
This is an absolute MUST DO tour! My family had a fantastic tour of three wineries, one in Sonoma and two in Napa Valley. Our tour guide did an exceptional job of giving us the history of each place informing us of what to expect once we arrived. The vineyards were beautiful and the wine tasting excellent. We had beautiful weather and stopped and ate in this quaint little town in Napa Valley. We had such a great time we didn't want to leave!
Absolutely great experience. Went during our honeymoon and it was very romantic, interesting and so worth it! Each vineyard offered different experiences and wines. The views were amazing and the tour guide made the experience more enlightening. Great tour! Would absolutely recommend it!
The wine country tour was excellent. My husband and I had never been to San Francisco before and this was one of the highlights of our trip. Be prepared to taste lots of wines........our bus driver was also very knowledgeable and kept us entertained whenever we were riding on the tour bus. It was definitely worth it.
This was the most AMAZING afternoon ever. The bus driver was fantastic and knowledgeable, the wine was delicious and you get MORE than enough to make you happy, and the lunch in Yountsville was wonderful. no complaints here!
Tour was great. Tour driver, Gordie, was very knowledgeable and was a great guide.
Husband and I are not wine drinkers. We only took the tour for the experience. So for people like us who are not wine drinkers it was a nice tour
Tour of Napa and Sonoma was very well organized. The driver was very knowledgeable, friendly, and humorous. Had a great lunch in Yountsville at 'Napa Style' restaurant. Learned a lot about wines and winemaking.
My wife and I did this tour as a part Of our 1st anniversary trip to the Bay Area and we loved it. If you have Gordy be prepared for a treat he's very knowledgeable and presents the tour as an expert and not as someone reading a script. I wasn't impressed with sutter home but the other 2 were good.
Well worth the cost. Excellent staff in all areas, knowledgeable and friendly.
Excellent tour! We have wanted to visit the Wine Country for years, but had no idea how to do it as we live on the east coast. So, on our recent trip to San Francisco, I checked the viator.com website and found a 1 day tour that more than satisfied our needs. We stopped at 4 wineries and had plenty of wine to sample. Three of the vineyards were small, private estates with the 4th one being Sutter Home. SH offer more for tasting and had various finger foods out to sample.
