Despite cloudy damp weather, it was a wonderful experience. On a slightly clearer evening it would have been a spectacular sunset. Passing under the Golden Gate Bridge after having crossed it on foot the day before was a real thrill for me. Very nice, ample buffet provided and a local musician provided some entertainment. Not sure if that is a regular occurrence, but enjoyed it.

This cruise was my favorite part of the trip. If you get sea sick though, might want to take something before you go.

The sunset cruise was very interesting. I have never been on a catamaran before and it made for a smooth ride. We sat on the deck and watched the seals. We cruised under the Golden Gate Bridge just as the sun was setting. The inside cabin was very comfortable and we were served plenty of snacks. When we returned to the dock, a seal was right there and did not want to give up his lounging spot. He was finally scared away by the crew, an unexpected surprise.

Good sunset cruise, good value with a drink, and the nibbles were much more than minor finger food. That is all we had for dinner, heaps of food and good variety.

It was a terrific experience, but the main negative comment was the the lack of commentary. The only time I heard the commentary was whilst passing the larger island beyond Alcatraz, where it was explained the buildings were used to house POW's during the Second World War, but with the volume so low, you could hardly hear it.

After vacationing in the Bay area for a few days, it was nice to be out on the water during sunset as well as seeing the various coastlines light up as night fell. The bar, snacks, live music, and talking with other passengers made it a very enjoyable evening.

A nice trip, although on our visit the sun only set right at the end of the tour. Don't forget your jumper...it gets very cold.
