What You Can Expect
In between these famous attractions, your guide will also show you off-the-beaten-path highlights, providing an insider look at the city. Plus, with this semi-customizable experience, you are free to make any special requests you might have, and your guide will try to accommodate them so you can enjoy more photo ops.
Next, head west to the Golden Gate Bridge, which you’ll cross on your way to the waterfront hamlet of Sausalito. Browse the town’s galleries, boutiques and restaurants on your own before hopping on the ferry for the ride back to the city. During the 25-minute cruise, admire San Francisco Bay, the city skyline and the bridge. Your tour ends when you arrive at the pier on the Embarcadero.
Optional upgrade to Muir Woods:
If you select the Muir Woods option when booking, you’ll have time to get some lunch in Sausalito (own expense) before returning to the tour van for the drive north to Muir Woods National Monument. When you arrive, begin your narrated tour (just more than two hours), which takes you through the forest of redwood trees along designated paths. Look up in wonder as you enjoy the serene environment.
Then head back to Sausalito, where you have additional free time to visit more shops or perhaps have a snack or drink (own expense). When you’re ready to return to San Francisco, just board the ferry for the ride to the Embarcadero; if you don’t want extra time in Sausalito, you may choose to be dropped off at your hotel after the Muir Woods tour.
Fantastic!! Pam was informative and fun! We would highly recommend the city tour to others.
Gute Reiseleitung. Schöne Tour.
Driver was very knowledgable and took us to areas and sites that the hop on hop off buses did not go to.
Great tour for first day in the city! We saw all the highlights and figured out where we would like to go on our own. Phil was an amazing host! He was very informative, funny, and made sure we had time to stop and take photos. I highly recommend this tour. The Muir Woods option was amazing as well! Beautiful spot so close to the city!
A great way to get acquainted with the city. The driver was really nice, knew exactly where to stop, and made the whole day a pleasure.
