Fantastic!! Pam was informative and fun! We would highly recommend the city tour to others.
Driver was very knowledgable and took us to areas and sites that the hop on hop off buses did not go to.
Great tour for first day in the city! We saw all the highlights and figured out where we would like to go on our own. Phil was an amazing host! He was very informative, funny, and made sure we had time to stop and take photos. I highly recommend this tour. The Muir Woods option was amazing as well! Beautiful spot so close to the city!
A great way to get acquainted with the city. The driver was really nice, knew exactly where to stop, and made the whole day a pleasure.
Phil was a great tour guide. I would advise doing this tour on the first day of your visit. It gave a great overview of the city.
This combo tour plan is great. Our tour guides were very helpful. You can enjoy all corner of the San Francisco.
This was the best trip of my whole visit to America. There was only 4 of us on the tour so Phil the tour guide made it personal to us. He was funny entertaining and knowledgable. I would suggest anyone going to San Francisco should go on this tour especially if Phil is the guide. It was brilliant.
This was the first tour we took on our first day and was very enjoyable. The driver was very informative and entertaining. Appreciaed the hotel pick up and delivery.
The tour was split in two parts. We did Muir Woods in the morning. Our guide, Paul, was extremely knowledgeable and very interesting to listen to. We spent the morning in this awesome place just drinking in Mother Nature in all her splendor. The afternoon was the city tour with James. He took us for hours on the most fabulous tour. We drove through every neighborhood in the city and then some. He gave us amazing information on each section. This was money very well spent and they were very accommodating to us when we ran into a little problem. We explained the situation and it was remedied easily, quickly and much to our satisfaction. Hight recommend this tour!
The tour was great and guide, Leo was the best! Very good information and very cheerful guy! Wish I would have taken this tour a long time ago! I will use Leo's tips to tour the city on my next visit. By taking this tour, you'll find the best highlights to go visit and spend more time on your own. I'd recommend this for people who are unable to walk much, too. You get to see a lot of the city's sights but don't have to do the leg work.
We booked this at the very last minute (midnight) and I was contacted a few hours later with the pickup time from my hotel. I was concerned we may miss the tour due to the late hour of booking, but no worries!
After the tour, we were able to go visit a couple of the places Leo showed us and were able to spend more time in each place. Due to the small size of the tour group, everyone cooperated with Leo's instructions and no one held up the tour when we stopped for photo opportunities.
If possible, I would take this tour the first or at the very least the second day you are in the city to take full advantage of the information given to you during the tour! I'm telling everyone I know to go on this tour and to ask for Leo!!
Great tour of SF in a day! Jesse, the Extranomical tour guide, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Small tour size and nice bus to view the sights and get around town. Highly recommended for visitors new and old of SF.
My sister and I was happy that we booked our trip with your company compare to the other tour company that we had during our visit in San Francisco. Also, I found that Sofia, our tour guide and driver is funny, answers most questions with confident, and professional on what she does.......... I highly recommend it.
Our tour guides both days were great! Especially, our City Guide tour - she gave us a local's insight view. She even took us to get a sneak peak where they make fortune cookies down an alley in Chinatown!
It was a small group, which made it even more personal. Our tour was divided on separate days, it was perfect. We were able to see Muir Woods early in the morning and we were able to beat the crowds. It was quiet and peaceful. This was my 17 year old son's favorite part of the trip. I would highly recommend this tour!!
loved the venues we visited and the tour guide was very knowledgable.
The tour was very fun. We were taken to all the areas we hoped to see. We did have one issue ( and I talked to some of the others on the tour with us). Our driver for the morning session, Jeff Benham, was a concern. He seemed very nervous and uptight while trying to get us all picked up. He had to back track a couple of times because he realized he had forgotten someone. His driving made a lot of us nervous. He almost hit a couple vehicles. His driving was very erratic especially when we were heading up to Muir Woods. He came awful close to the edge, scaring several of us. One person commented that they thought he was on something!? My concern is that he wasn't very focused on what he was doing?? I give this info just so that maybe someone should talk to him. He was very informative but not sure I would get in a van with him again. The afternoon went much better. I can't find the driver's name, but he was excellent. He really gave us an insight to the area - he knew his stuff. He was very friendly and accommodating to the group.
San Francisco Insider Tour was very informative. Our guide Don was great; he is knowledgeable, funny, and an audiophile. Muir Woods was spectacular. One minor complaint is that is sometimes difficult to view the sites from inside a van.
We really loved our tour guide Frank, he was the best ever! He was informed, organized, and had a great sense of humor. He gave us lots of information not available in any old travel book, and really personalized our trip. The only thing we did not enjoy was being crammed into such a tiny space, 4 people/seat was WAY to close and just kind of awkward.
Some good, some not so good. Driver tour guide was personable, would have liked more specific or historical information on some of the stops. Some information was somewhat vague. Overall, good exposure to different part of the city.
FANTASTIC GUIDE/DRIVER, Janet. SHE WAS really great. We began in the Muir Woods, 2 hours, too long time there. She add some extra, that was BEAUTIFUL, after Saosalito, nice little village, worth a walk, after I went back to SF by ferry according to the recommended agenda, but the ferry late 20min, so the others had to wait for me. The aft part was OK, but I expected more, according to the programme what Viator provided. Very short stops, limited photo opportunity.
The Muri woods was pretty neat...you have two hours to tour so you get to see a lot!
Our tour guide was newer so I was kind of disappointed when compared to other guides. My one request was Alamo square which he said yes to but never stopped. But overall the city tour was neat!
Good points: the driver was congenial and quite knowledgeable about the city. He took us through numerous neighborhoods and parks - truly a good overview of the city. Bad points: he only stopped 3 times for us to get out and take pictures. A 13 passenger van is entirely the wrong vehicle for this tour and we were in the last row - hence last to get out and first to have to get in. A 30+ passenger tour bus (like this company uses on other tours) would have been much, much better. The windows in the van did not permit "proper" viewing for such a tour as we were on. If one was sitting in the middle of the seat, you didn't see a thing. The driver only paused briefly when he pointed out things. There was barely enough time to take one photo if you could get the shot lined up and in focus, let alone pass cameras back and forth across the seat to take pictures for others. I would go ahead and recommend the tour, but I would advise friends of the pitfalls of it first.
This was not a small insider tour, it was a shuttle with 22 people, when it was to be a small group no more than 13 people, we did not see china town, Lombard St, or the Victorian house off Alamo Square, wasted a day in San Francisco
