I was really looking forward to my day of sightseeing, one that I booked mainly because of the Alcatraz tour. I was completely stunned and devastated when I arrived and was advised that the Alcatraz tour had been cancelled. This was really the highlight of the San Fran trip, and I was quite upset to say the least. With regards to the city sightseeing, I can't fault it and would recommend it to anyone as a worthwhile experience. The guide and driver were both very professional and informative in their duties, and left me much more informed about the city and its history. Viator did quickly refund my payment for the Alcatraz visit, but it still is annoying that I couldn't have been informed earlier to allow me time to arrange another tour.
