Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the San Francisco CityPass. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
The City Pass in San Francisco is probably the best value for money of the major city passes is recently used (LA, London, Paris and Rome). It had the length of stay covered better than the rest and you don't have to rush to see things. The Pier 39 Tourist booklet was great but suited to couples or family groups. Having access to Muni in travel was brilliant in SF and, with a little planning, there isn't anywhere you can't go. Even though I was in town only a few days, the pass worked overtime to show me the main sites and have a great harbour tour (which helped overcome the disappointment of missing going to Alcatraz due to the crowds booking it out). If City Pass can improve it would be to give a bit of advice about peak times for when booking is essential - coming form overseas things like school holidays fall at different times but they always make booking essential. SF City Pass is great value!
Was definitely worth the price we paid. Huge savings when you take advantage of all the coupons which we did.
Well worth the money and great to have the 7 day public transit pass.
Worth every penny you spend on CityPASS. We took bus to Golden Gate Bridge. The transit was seamless. Riding cable cars was unlimited. San Francisco residents were very friendly and would help you find your bus route in great effort. You can't get lost. The residents help local tourist business running in a positive way, very impressive. I will definitely use CityPASS again.
This is simply wonderful.I would suggest that every tourist should buy the city pass
It's worth every penny :)
Such good value, excellent way to see the City. After two days we had made savings!!
We used all the passes for entry and the ease if using public transport was worth it too. Many of attractions were very busy but if you had children -they would love them
OMG You have to do this! We saved so much money by parking our car. We rode public transportation all week, without a hitch. It was fantastic!
We have used CityPass in Chicago and San Fran. Awesome for the first trip and with kids :)
This CityPASS covers almost all that you must see and do in San Francisco at a great value.
We used the cable cars plus the trolleys numerous times. Took the Blue/Gold boat tour tour.Didn't have time to visit the museums.
This is an absolute must as it not only covers all the Cables Cars, Street Cars (F Line) and Muni Buses, it has entrance fees to the major attractions included. For example, the Aquarium and 3D show at Pier 39, the Bay Cruise and California Academy of Science Museum in Golden Gate Park to name but a few. It is extremely good value as each Cable Car ride will cost you $6 without the pass, even if you just get off at the next stop. So by having the pass you don't have to worry about carrying lots of Dollars to just get around. Be sure to go to the Cable Car Museum as you will see how the Cable Cars work. Enjoy!
If you're sightseeing, you should purchase Absolutely!
My recommendation is exploratorium.
