It was a lot of fun and the highlight of all the touring we did. Good instruction was provided and the group had no difficulties on the tour. We can't wait to ride a Segway again! Great way to see San Francisco!
Excellent tour although I did not realise it would be so cold after the sun went down (we elected to go on a sunset Segway tour). We were given a loan of a jacket and gloves which were appreciated greatly. Segway was easy to operate after our little lesson on it. Staff great. Office was a little hard to find on Jefferson for the Segway part of the tour but they said that they would be getting more signs to make it easier (It's up a laneway).
The City Segway team is very professional and both our Alcatraz and Segway tours went smoothly.
The Segway tour was amazing, visiting all the city highlights and covering a lot of the history from these places with good spots for pictures. We will definitely do it again when back to SF.
Alcatraz exceeded my expectations - the best audio tour I have been on across multiple continents. That afternoon when we got back we rented 'Escape from Alcatraz' on Amazon which was a fun way to chill.
City Tour: Its all about the Segway and not so much about the City, which actually suited us well. This may have been 'cos the guide was a newbie and needs to spend more time on his craft (he was dreadful). So I knocked off a star for the guide and gave the machine 4 stars. They also have an advanced trip which I will definitely do next time I am in town. So I'd say if you want the history, take a tram tour - if you wanna get out and about and have fun on a Segway, this is the way to go. BTW ... everyone on our tour became Segway proficient in minutes ... even a bunch of 60+ folks.
When combined, it was great value for money and made our weekend trip action packed and memorable.
Tour too long. We expected the guide to knowledgeable about the area and he wasn't. We found the tour more about riding a Segway than exploring the area. We have already been on a Segway tour previously and we found out there was an advanced tour that seemed better suited for us, but this was never offered to us.
