The tour was on a large motor coach that was about 3/4 full but was still comfortable. The driver was very professional and did a running commentary during the entire 3-1/2 hour ride. The tour crisscrosses the city and gives a good perspective of where all the attractions in the city are located. Very good and worth the money for a first time traveler to S.F. or someone that has a limited time to see the sights. Also a good overview of city for a traveler to make plans to go back and re-visit individual attractions.

The tour is useful, if limited by time and transport. It was spoilt by bad weather, which obscured the views over city and of Golden Gate Bridge. Fortunately I saw it privately the afternoon and evening before from the other side, which is a far superior viewing point to the one on the tour. The information issued on the cable tours was quite misleading, but I sorted it out in the end. On the whole, this is not a bad trip to take if you have limited time. Enjoy San Francisco - it's a great place to visit.
