The ferry trip to the Island was a busy one, as the same ferry also went to other further destinations - Tiburon, Sausalito etc.
The island was much larger than I anticipated. I almost thought I was going to get lost. Good thing GPS with Google Maps works on the island.
Trekking to the top of Mount Livermore is a light workout, and the sights from the top are breathtaking, especially on a clear day.
It will take quire a few hours to get around the entire island, but I was satisfied with where I went.
What a surprise!! Thought it was just a rock from a distance, but once there you ate taken in by the beauty and peacefulness of it all. Abundant deer and even more cyclists made the place quite special.
Took the $13.50 one hour tour around the island by cart, and sat back and just took it all in
The ferry trip over there was worth every penny.
It was a wonderful trip! Great weather when I came, sunny, lots of wind, a perfect day to walk around the island. Next time I come, I would definitely bring a picnic. There were tables right next to the coast! The kids had lots of fun too!
