Viator's process for purchasing the 2-day pass was good. The service in San Francisco was very good. We would use Viator's services again.

The first guide was great, speaking clearly and loudly. The other one wasn't that good, but it was okay. I don't know why we didn't stop at Alamo Square for a 10 minute picture break, though. We did the tour twice and no one stopped there . . . too bad!

Excellent way to familiarise yourselves with the layout of the city and help to decide which places to explore in more detail. Tour guide was excellent - even recommended places to eat. I had been to SF before and used this tour to help my husband and kids decide where they wanted to look at. They all rated it too. Only suggestion that the pickup stops are made a bit clearer to find.

We really loved the tour. It took us to all of the sights that we wanted to see and we were able to get on and off when we wanted to. This was great for our kids as they didn't have to sit on a bus all day. The tour guide was also very informative and friendly.

I liked the San Fran tour. Quite informative and comprehensive. I have two recommendations. "Hop On Hop Off," for those who have travelled abroad, indicates that the tour bus can almost be used like a city bus, with many places to stop and frequent pick up opportunities. THAT is what I expected. This was more like a bus tour, with the opportunity to make extended stops at a few points of interest. That was unfortunate, since our day was built on the notion that we would truly scoot around the city, hopping on and off. My second comment is with regard to the pick up location. Walking along Pier 39, we noticed several signs for bus tours. When we saw 'Hop on Hop off,' we approached. It was the wrong tour company. Pedestrians directed us away from the main strip and we found another hop on hop off tour...again, the wrong company. We were then directed to some other street, where we finally found the office and the starting point for the tour. I would strongly recommend that some signage be available in the "obvious" places where people think they would be hopping on and off so they don't lose an hour of wandering as we did. It made for a frustrating start to our trip to California. Thankfully, the tour was quite good, so the day improved considerably.

Gives a good overview of the city, which is huge & spread out. Very good value for money.
