• Parking: 3 Hour paid parking is available at parking meters close to the Bridgeway location. Tour operator does not validate parking. Sausalito is crowded on weekends and does enforce parking and speeding laws.

Getting get to and from Sausalito on the Ferry:
If you don't have a car, transportation to Sausalito is easy on the Golden Gate Ferry. A great way to see the bay before your Segway Tour!


Segway® Tips
Riding a Segway® is similar to riding a bike - it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why you will have 35-45 minutes of training so you can get familiar with the most innovative transportation device of the new millennium! You will practice on the Segway® until everyone feels comfortable and ready.


Requirements: Riders must:

• Ages 12 and up, guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. (If you are concerned about mobility issues Please call us to discuss. We want every rider to have a safe tour.) Pregnant guests are not allowed on the tour.
• Be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 2 hours.
• Weigh between 100 and 250 pounds (45 to 113 kilos)
• Wear the helmet and safety vest that is provided with the tour.
• Sign a liability waiver.
• Complete the Segway rider training and test ride.
• Respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes and cars for a safe enjoyable ride.

Rules of the Road:
Segways® are allowed in most places in Sausalito. The goal of these guided tours is to safely coexist with both visitors and residents of this special city. A combination of designated bike paths, trails and low speed-light traffic streets are used to conduct the guided tours. With a focus on courtesy, rules of the road and common sense apply when riding a Segway® in the city. The tour operator advocates safe tour routes, careful Segway® use and detailed rider education. The aim is a positive tour experience for all guests and to encourage respect for residents and visitors sharing the roads, sidewalks and bike paths in the city.


Tour Re-routing and Weather:
The tour operator reserves the right to change the size of the tour to meet requests for that specific day. San Francisco and Sausalito is famous for the fog! Tours run fog, rain or shine. It is recommended to wear multiple layers of warm clothing for any San Francisco activity. Summer afternoons can be in the 50's. Rain gear is available for those infrequent rainy days. Segway® are designed to run in any weather. If seasonal fog /weather obscures the view, tour routes may be altered. You will not be charged if the tour operator cancels a tour.

Q: What is a Segway®? How does it work?
A: The Segway® Human Transporter is the first of its kind - a self-balancing, personal transportation device designed to go anywhere people do. Easy to use and operate, the two-wheeled Segway® sports high-tech gyroscopes that monitor your balance 100 times a second and automatically respond to your body's movements. To move forward, the rider simply leans forward. To stop or move backwards, the rider leans back slightly. The rider glides smoothly as the Segway® senses where you want to go.


Q: How long, fast and far can I ride?
A: The Segway® has a top speed of about 8 miles per hour. A rider can average about 10 miles between battery charges. A fully charged battery will last with constant riding for approximately 2 hours. Riding times vary with hills, rider weight and speed. Segway® has two different keys that set the top speed. Your tour will begin cruising at no more than 4.5 mph. One additional key is used for slightly higher speeds and increase agility With urban streets speed is limited for a relaxed cruise.
